Ordered waffles and big the breakfast, great presentation and was fresh and tasty. Grandkids said they were the best milkshakes they have had. Staff were really great friendly and helpful.

We are really overwhelmed of how delicious and well displayed the foods are in your cafe. Despite being located in a small town (as compared to Auckland) , the overall service are very much pleasing. It’s been such a pleasing to have a leisure time here during our trip down.

We had the most amazing first experienceI ordered a cake for my my mother's 80 birthday.The staff were outstanding and helpful.Right down to helping pack it safely for transport to Mount Maunganui.Everyone was impressed with the special personal touches reflecting my mother's personality.Above and beyond expectations.The finest compliment any Baker can ask for.Everyone going for seconds until not a crumb was left.My apologies to staff and management.I was about to send a post last week and was interrupted in the process and posted 2 starsA reflection on my own technology fail.Definitely not a reflection of the staff and quality of food served at the Fat Kiwi Otorohanga.

Food was really good, struggled deciding what to order since it all looked great. Staff was friendly, vibe was nice overall. I wish there had been some shirts or something with the logo, since we stopped entirely because of that.

Sunday afternoon about 1pm probably isn't the best time to call in. Place was busy, but not THAT busy. Very young staff, a few of whom really didn't want to be there. The ham, cheese and tomato croissant I had, and the chicken and cranberry focaccia my offsider had were nothing special, dry on the outer and soggy in the middle, and rather tasteless. Not sure how they were reheated, but they both needed longer. Coffee was adequate. Edible/drinkable, but not nice.I'm not going to recommend this café, but it was probably just the day and time.

Impromptu stop as the other cafes were closed on Good Friday. We totally enjoyed our food! Everything was very delicious. The energy ball was so packed with good stuff and it was very tasty! Also try the No Ugly Skin drinks!!

First time visit. The tea was just horrible no taste and very weak. My egg was half cooked. Sourdough bread not toasted and cold. Beacon very salty.Not going back there again.
