Ebborn Law (Christchurch branch)

At first I thought they had done a good job, but when talking to another lawyer, I was asked why they didn't do this.. why they encouraged me to go another way, it was all talk, and in the end, I sorted it out myself.Will not recommend this to anyone, unless I'm the opposite party.Erin ebborn from ebborn law withheld $3000 for 12 months, most of that money is now going to pay legal aid and the remaining back to me, however she has refused to pay 15% on top of that, but wait, if your late paying thier fees for 1 month, they charge you 15%.Also, I had already recieved a letter from Legal Aid stating that I had no debt and the file was closed, however because I questioned Ms Ebborn on why she had not notified me that they had been holding those funds for almost 12 months, she became defensive and refused to reply to further emails, she then emailed legal aid to charge me.Is this who you want handling your case?

Poor poor service. Would not recommend. The fact that the owner has given herself 5 stars is appalling, raises many questions as to why they don’t have real people giving them 5 stars.

Took side of my opponent and got me the worst deal possible. And I had to pay money for this.

Staff were friendly (I guess this justifies the required 1 star) and my lawyer was OK. I had a couple of concerns and when I raised them with the business owner (the person who gave themselves 5 stars below...) I was ignored, disrespected, and I suspect I was lied to as well. This caused a whole lot more stress and worry during an already incredibly difficult time. I ended up settling my case unhappily for the sake of parting ways with Ebborn Law.

They were terrible didn't help me and my daughter just took the legal aid and only gave me some information there was no concern for our well being. I was concerned about our safety and recently the worst happened and could have been avoided if the lawyer had actually listened and helped :( then they told me I'm not a suitable client as I'm not eligable for more legal aid and didn't take any responsibility for their lack of action one year ago. DONT USE THEM THEY DONT CARE AND JUST WANT THE LEGAL AID $$$$$

In spite of me addressing several times, I gave them all the evidence to defend me, but none was presented in the court. My opponent lawyer was working with ebborn law earlier, when i applied, she left the firm just after i applied through ebborn law. which is alreadt a breach of content of court. I could give them a -5 rating, and Christchurch big time family killers. People, these guys a huge no, these folks can ruin your life, big time. Be aware.
