Villas Waiheke

Nice place with very nice modern units. Pool is very nice with sun loungers around and it’s nice and private. The whole setup is really quality.Only downside is it’s in the middle of nowhere, on map it looks like it’s right beside the main road but you have to take a long detour through the regional park. It means you are looking at unexpectedly expensive taxis to go anywhere. I think if you are staying mostly on site and not going about the island to meet people it wouldn’t be such a nuisance, ideally make sure you bring a car if you are staying here.

REALLY enjoyed our recent mini break at The Villas! Loved the hot tub & the private gym was a nice touch...dreaming about those sunsets & the vista. Lovely friendly hosts but we basically bunkered down indoors & recharged the batteries all weekend. Will def book again soon

1 rating for the view. Pool was ok (definitely needs a clean though)This place is far from a 5 star experience/ treatment.Our villa was full of spider webs when moved in, a simple vacuum would have eliminated this problem. The wifi didn't reach our villa(VILLA 1). Water was unavailable for almost 12 hours. Only a subtle portable airlcon that you'll need to sit beside. No blinds to block the sun from turning the villa into a sauna as you can't leave any windows or doors open. I was asked if I was guest at the resort while at the pool quite rudely also. No point for tv in the room. So overall the worse so called 5 star we've stayed at. We will be looking for somewhere to stay in March for another little holiday but definitely not staying here again. Also kids are welcome here.

Amazing place! Highly recommend this little piece of paradise!! Our team were in awe it was peaceful and perfect. Hosts were very accommodating only thing wrong that we would say was our stay was not long enough other than that this place was stunning!

Fantastic place to stay. Excellent facilities and stunning views. Would highly recommend. A little off the beaten track and be prepared to reverse down a one way dirt track with blind bends but, hey, that's quite fun!

A lovely spot, beautiful views and very modern and comfortable. Tips for others. We paid around $50 return for a ferry from Auckland which sounds expensive. We then saw that the Island had one of those hop on/hop off tourist buses that was $35 a day with the ferry ticket included.The location of the Villas is remote and we should have booked a car or e-bikes. Taxi’s are expensive and have some cash as EFTPOS machines don’t always work. Wharf to Villas is around $70 each way for eg. And a trip back to town for food is around $60. Purchase food and wine on the way to Villas in Onera. I think Villas 2-4 might be the ones to secure, feels like a better aspect. We had fab lunch at Ki Maha right on the beach (book near the front windows). Other than our own lack of prep it was a good weekend.

If you are wanting a private hideaway and a break from it all, this is the place!! Definitely would need a vehicle if you are wanting to explore around the island, simply because it is off the beaten track compared to other places and the taxi's know it and charge the earth. Hopefully we will return!

Nice modern cabin with full amenities. Great breakfast. Remote local with nice views. Great escape from Auckland for the weekend.

It was very hard to leave this place. What a beautiful, quiet and private spot on the island. Our villa was immaculate, warm and comfortable. Especially during a storm!The kitchen has all you need, we even managed to cook a roast duck. Bathroom had a monsoon shower head too. We loved the design and set up of the whole place.We had many different birds visit the lawn out front, just gorgeous. The quiet was such a nice change from all the city noise. What bliss.And above all, the hosts are very accommodating and friendly. Thank you guys for making it nice and easy for us. We will be back! :)

Highly recommend. Well appointed villas with amazing views across the island and beyond. Very beautiful and peaceful location.The 5 villa property has a large swimming pool (which you have to yourself most of the time as you rarely see other guests), spa and gym. If looking for a quality and quiet place to unwind this is it.
