This is a free community salt water pool that is regularly cleaned. Great for those who want a sea swim without the wave action. Beautiful views out to sea and good toilet/changing room facilities too. Find more great attractions on our website. Southproud NZ

This is actually pretty good for a free public access pool. The water is warmer than the sea. Good kids pool. Great for lengths. About 25meters in length. There is an outdoor freshwater shower at the ablution block by the car park. We use it regularly when in the area.

Discovered this place accidentally. Totally recommend going near sunset, as the view is fantastic & the enclosed 'pool' keeps the water much warmer than the surrounding water

Probably would not pass water quality test but made for a funny and unusual swim spot. The bottom and sides are pretty slimy and there's stuff floating in it (hopefully sea things...). Filled with salt water as name suggests. Luckily can have a nice rinse off at the new showers and toilets in car park, as well as changing rooms. Enjoy!

Saltwater baths were created and looked after by locals. They allow swimming at all tides and help children learn to swim .Locals give their time for free so please respect the clean baths .Nice place to sit on a sunny day.Tides, are over 4 meters in Tasman Bay so baths, are useful on a hot day at low tide.Parking playground and changing sheds close by.

Awesome place to go chill and have lunch, small water bath is warm on a sunny day and the larger one has a hand rail end to end if needed. You can also park a campervan near by. Decent fishing spots near by though keep in mind that you need to walk a bit.
