Fern Motel Napier

Great accomodation, wished we could have stayed longer. Rooms are a good size (we stayed in a 2 bedroom for 5 people and 1 dog), refurbishment is modern and pet friendly, with a back yard as well as small park area right next door :) Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

The room was dark and smelt mouldy. The nets curtains on the glass door had what looked like blood stains on them but may have been from something else, the stains are reddish brown in color. The walls could also do with a proper wash over. Managers were pleasant but cleaners need to up their step.

The room was clean. Available at an affordable cost. But if you are planning to stay there for week then the owner may knock at your door and say, Don't use the heater for so long as it can increase power bills" . Next day he knock on your door and say

An older but sturdy place with great amenities and excellent service! At reasonable prices and with a location that makes both Napier and Hastings easily accessible it's the perfect place to stay for families and those curious to thoroughly sight see the area. Greatly recommend!

Ended up staying here, due to Napier being full. Dated accommodation, which is clean. Bed has seen action due to age, you can feel every spring. No soap to wash hands with, bit a soap despencer in the shower. Hotel run's along busy road. Parking in front of each unit. Wifi hit and miss, check in was good. Swimming pool had a BIG dead cochroch, needed a clean. Would not stay again.

Not a very nice experience, all seems geared towards social housing accommodation as their main income now...warnings about security, told that excessive use of air con would incur extra fees...despite having 4 people staying 3 nights were only given one small milk- told to pay for more. Noisy at night, blinds didn't shut out street light.

Although I'm only 3days into my stay here booked for a week. I'd like too give my review now. Really impressed with the room and how clean it was on arrival. Room service has been excellent very friendly. Owner's are also lovely I think I'd rate this motel 10/10 I'd definitely come stay again in the future if need and tell friends and family really impressed :) thanks for the awesome services

Good value, not in the center but close to a PAK'nSAVE with 2 minutes drive or 10 minutes walk, you can buy lots of food most want you need during your trip. Stay for 2 nights and they will refill the toilet paper or other necessary stuff, great reception when we checked in, very friendly. All facilities are there so meet your needs. The only two things I suggest for improvement is sofa is not good condition, and bathroom is combined for toilet and shower, so when it is occupied, have to wait. Overall, I am very satisfied with the motel and recommend to you if you want a worth stay(not Luxury). By the way, every room has TV also a big one in the living room with many channels. PS.....the Wi-Fi needs improved........super slow. @@, if you don't mind Wi-Fi, it is good. If you must need Internet and you don't have your own 4G, you need reconsider.

Lovely rooms we stayed in very nice for us and our teens, pool was a hit with the kids. Only thing i hate to say that we didnt like were the emergency housing tenants, lady was vaccuming 3 in the morning very busy with people loud talking smoking during the night outside which made it look messy...

Stayed due to Napier being full. Friendly staff, but rooms are tired, they defiantly need new beds, bed cover looked grotty. Sad furniture in the room. Internet was hit or miss- bad internet is a no-no. Kitchen lacked a lot of utensils. When I asked for items, they did give them to me. Pretty close by car to shops etc. Have stayed in by far nicer motels for lot less money. Would not go back again.
