Jam

As a tourist on holiday in need of a quick fringe trim, I was lucky to find a spot at Jam on the same day. It was easy to book online, they were super friendly, and I was in and out in minutes. They kindly fitted me in to a cancelled appointment slot and were available to do my hair immediately even though I was a bit early. Very impressed, and my hair now looks much better for a wedding tomorrow. Thank you!

I have been twice at Jam and both of my visits were fantastic. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially Bryce, my hair dresser, was absolutely incredible. He managed to cut my hair better than my regular hairdresser in Germany. Even though I am not from Wellington, I used my chances to visit Jam hair. If I should ever be back in Wellington and need of a haircut, I already know where to go to.

I went to Jam to get multiple colours in my hair of purple, green and pink. I had my consultation with Victoria and was impressed with her knowledge and her excitement to achieve what I wanted.Victoria took great care of my hair, doing a test to see how it would bleach and when it came out well, we booked in. We did two bleaches and I was ecstatic when Victoria said she thought we would be able to get to the pink colour. I thought my pre-dyed ends and natural brown hair might not be able to get light enough.The process took 5 hours but I was treated so well from start to finish. This was my first time at Jam and Victoria was just amazing. The finished look was even better than I had imagined and I just love it so much!It has now been two weeks and I have washed my hair in cold water twice as per Victoria's instructions. It is still as bright as it was when I left the salon and I get so many compliments! Will be back when my roots start coming through for sure.

Had my hair done by the lovely Victoria. So slay. Half head of highlights, knew exactly the right colour to match my old ones, and was super super duper friendly and chatty. 1000% coming back when the regrowth hits

Went in just for a wash and blow dry and was so happy with it! The stylist even did some big curls for me so it looked great! Super friendly service and the whole salon has such a great vibe! Will definitely be back!!!

Came in for a mullet refresh and left with an unevenly layered bob. Brought in reference photos of my previous haircut and was given a completely different style that was cut unevenly. Stylist was late to my 45min haircut that was $90 and ended up charging me $120 for 1 hour cut despite the fact I was fully paid and out it the shop before the hour was up. So was charged $30 to wait on the stylist, collect my belongings and pay. I did email the shop with my issues to resolve this privately, however the stylist did not acknowledge the issues I had with the cut and insisted it took her a full hour to cut my hair despite also acknowledging that she was late and I was in the building for less than an hour. I received no remedy to the situation other than to go back to the same stylist to fix my hair. Considering the lack of acknowledgment of wrong doing and the fact that my hair is too short to be fixed, I decided to decline. I attached screenshots providing timestamps and proof of unevenly cut hair and the fact I was overcharged however these went overlooked. After a long back and forth Louise said she would refund the $30 which really should've been the entire amount, but she never did I have to cut my losses but hopefully the next person doesn't have to. I ended up getting my hair fixed at another salon and we laughed at the appalling job done here at JamHorrible haircut and even worse customer service.Wish I could give 0 star rating.

Lee is amazing! She took my dark hair to a copper color which had so much depth, I am obsessed. She works quickly and really knows how to cut curly hair too.I was really nervous to make such a big change but it turned out better than I could have imagined. She is a very skilled stylist and is so kind. I felt comfortable and informed through the whole process.Nice vibes all around, go to Jam and see Lee!

I got a global colour and blow dry with the super lovely Trinity. The whole experience was wonderful. I left with beautiful shiny hair that was beautifully styled. I'll be back!

Staff are AWESOME!!! We get our hair cut and coloured by Victoria regularly throughout the years and the hubby sometimes has Ben cut his hair. My hair is long and is now multi coloured but previously just blue. I havent had any bleach burn and the colours are always blended perfectly. My husbands cut is always clean and on point. The products they use smell wonderful. We love going here :)
