Low rating for me because of the situation with tangihanas. When tangata whenua can no longer rest on their own marae because of a government mandate something is truly wrong. Very disgusted how our family was recently turned down from holding our uncle on HIS marae because of this. The trustees of this marae should feel disgraced. If you were maori you would straight truth. My koroua would be turning in their Graves having witnessed that and your koroua would definitely be doing the same thing. I am sad to say that my connection to my marae was taken by you trustees. You need to wake up

My family marae caters for different occasions considering you book in advance, even though you are affiliated to our marae.. Was there for my dad's tangi, so being whanau we had to address the Trustees that we were bringing my dad back to our family marae... If there is something else in place of an occasion with other family, and a family tangi takes place, we the family are prioritised first over an occasion or an event that falls into place of our family tangi..
