We immensely enjoyed our lamb shank and butter chicken curry (we love our curries spicy so we asked for extra hot and they didn't disappoint!).The White Pub food was spot on! And their happy hour prices were welcomed too! It was so much better than Betsy Jane restaurant down the road.

Only place open at 7:30 pm for dinner. It is getting into off season, so we were lucky to find food. Food is fine, but nothing special.

Great wee pub. Have been two days in a row and would be going again if we were staying longer in the area. Happy hour is 6pm-8pm which makes pints $4.50 each. A total steal! Stayed and drank lots. Food is also great. Chicken burger with bacon and aioli with chunky fries on the side just hit the spot. Staff very friendly and bar staff expert at pouring a great pint.

Thursday night, order the Sirloin Steak and then advised meal not available after paying for meal. Then swapped for Fish & Chips, meal arrived and chips where Luke warm, which is a pity. Was given a refund which was good.

Wow!! Had one of our favourite meals here in New Zealand. After a long day of hiking and driving we enjoyed the carbonara and cheese bites. Super friendly service as well.

Lamb shanks are to die for, totally melted of the bone. My meal was hot and it was yum. Considering the place was full, and more people were arriving, the staff were a great team even working under pressure. I recommend this place everyone wanting a great ordinary meal. Thank you for your time. Good job, well done to all staff.

I'd give this pub slightly higher if it wasn't for the wait time of the food and lack of organisation with staff. We came in Jan 2023 and it took about 1.5 hours for our meals to come out. Was just a chicken burger and butter chicken (which was average). Definitely need a proper ordering and ticket system. Nice hotel to have a beer outside but food can be a drag
