Awesome collection of Hundervassers artwork and biology enjoyed the whole exhibition spaces, theatre screening & gift shop. Great way to spend an afternoon in Whangarei

Interesting building. Entrance fee is $21. Expected to see more sculptures in the galleries but just some art works. You can hang around the ground floor or go to the restaurant without paying.

Nothing in Aotearoa prepares you for the sight of this glorious art temple. The colours, the curves, it is a visual delight. Downtown and riverside it is idyllic. Downstairs is the gift shop, and entrance to the gallery floors. Upstairs is the cafe.

Awesome looking building but not sure it’s worth the cost for entrance.If you are paying you get to see awesome works of art in a well set out space, including a theatre room and access to the roof garden. The staff were lovely and helpful.Unless you are an art fanatic I don’t think the price for admission is worth it. You would be better off looking at the building from the outside and potentially getting a meal from the restaurant instead.Still enjoyed our time here. Perfect activity for a rainy day.

Really cool looking architectural design. We didn't get to go inside due to an emergency but the staffs were very helpful by giving us a voucher to visit another time.

We took advantage of a guide this was well worth it. She was knowledgeable and friendly. The art and building were amazing and the shop had some great unique things to buy.

Lots to see. We booked the 4pm session in advance. Arrived and were given directions to the different areas. Started looking around when we got the the roof we were asked to leave as they were closing at 5pm and they wanted to lock up and set the alarms. Maori section was closed. Bit disappointed.
