Stockade Hill is a nice park, just to have some rest and relax overlooking an amazing view of sea and all surrounding. It is kind of small mountain have the view of 360 degree. The park entrance is on the Ridge Rd, just on turning of Mellons Bay Rd and closer to Howick City. At the middle of the park, there is a war memorizing tower. All the ground is greenish and maintains well.People come there to walk, run and to sit with sun bath and rest a while with the beautiful view.Very calm and quite. No many people coming and not crowded. Can stay hours looking at the sky and sea and the amazing view of surrounding.

Awesome 360 view, will be back, awesome spot to sit and think. I spotted many empty benches to sit on. There are also a few trees that will offer some shad at the right time of day :) very quite and peaceful it was so relaxing today just sitting and watching the ocean.

Great views over East Auckland. A perfect memorial for the local service people who gave their lives in conflict for our freedom. Enjoy the vista and remember the fallen.

A place of sacred significance. Walk through this area, read the information, bask in the sunshine, take in the incredible views and remember the early settlers to Howick

Best views of land and sea from the highest spot in Howick. LINZ Trig station and War Memorial at the summit. On your way down have a look at the recently placed little sculptural statue in Crawford reserve park which is to remember Women's Suffrage.

Excellent view of Howick and the gulf. Part of local history. Great views of some of the islands in the harbour. Get to use it and admire the views before the council and the morons running it allow ghetto style housing to be built which will ruin most of the views.
