Not sure why there are so many good reviews and my partner visited here based on that. Totally wrong decision and my partner had the worst haircut ever here. The side hairline was not even shaved/trimmed properly and the guy was basically shaking his head with attitude while cutting the hair. We literally had to visit another barber shop right after that. Totally disappointed and lesson learned with $70 spent on a poor haircut.*Updates* To the reply of the message below: we were not told it was done by an apprentice. Indeed, a number of staffs were discussing how it would be done and how much to charge my partner for the haircut before it started. Some says $50, $60 or $70, then your apprentice said he would charge for $70. I think the customer have the rights to be told the hairdresser was an apprentice. Your apprentice was obviously not skillful but did have confidence in charging the highest amount possible.

Amazing service by Sunita, she has been one of the best hair stylists I have been to in Auckland. She gave great advice on what style and look would work best for me and her attention to detail is second to none. I got so many compliments on my hair after she worked her magic on it.

First time i visited Scissor Sound was not by choice, it was the only place open at the time. I was to walk my sister down the isle in a few days and had left my hair cut to the last minute. But it was for the best - Shane sorted me out! He spent a lot of extra time to make sure my cut was perfect. Literally taking a step back to make sure each hair was on point.It really took me back to see someone care as much as he did and to really go that extra mile. I kept going back to Shane for 3 years and even since moving to Wellington, I still go back to see him whenever I’m back in Auckland for a cut. Couldn’t recommend a business more!
