Quality of the kai, and the service was top tier, I havnt had pondys in a few years but safe to say theyre still delicious. Big ups to the girls as well, they have beautiful people skills.

A Wairoa institution, its a small mean machine. Last visit the food was really greasy so we didn't return until today. The chips & fish were awesome. Will start going more often.

The BEST FISH N CHIPS n HAWKES BAY... hands down ....perfectly cooked fish we got a $25 pack was worth more also brought surimi, raw fish..( I prefer more salt n pepper) was just beautiful

Wow, after 50 years later and the fish and chips are still amazing. Lived in Wairoa 50 years ago and visiting family. We just had a go back to Ponderosa for fish and chips whilst in Wairoa and they are still wondering and amazing value for money. Well done Ponderosa for having the ability to keep something so wondering going after 50 years. It's not just about the excellent value fish and chips but also about the memories.

2 Fish, 2 Sausages, 2 Spring Rolls & 1 sc Chips - cost around $22. Nice fresh fish, good portion. Sorry no photo, we were too hung and hungry

The best fish and chip shop in Hawkes Bay. Whanau business been coming here for years when up from Wellington always a treat to come here when visiting family in Raupunga . Fish and chips are never like this in Wellington...... ever. If passing through call in you will not be disappointed 10/10 simply the best !!!!
