Cafe at Pompallier Mission
Great place for fresh baking with views from covered verandah out to bay with boats moored. Cafe opens at 9.30am, the adjacent museum opens at 10am. Get there early as popular and some items were sold out by 10.30am but lots of other choices.

Wonderful home made orange syrup cake. Great coffee. Friendly staff. Just wish there were more tables. Very popular. Location is beautiful.

Lovely place for a nice coffee and a yummy pastry or sandwich. You can sit in the garden in the shade of the trees or on the porch.

Whilst exploring there at the start of July I enjoyed the freshest Danish in my whole life, soft, smooth pastry and hot choc to go with it was on point. The ladies greetest us with the biggest smiles and we found this to be the happiest service in the 3 weeks we had in NZ. thanks so much from Australia

A return visit here turned into a disappointing one. No pastries left plus served coldish tea. Surprised at pricing $6 for a cuppa, really. Very sad this sort of charging happens as in these times doesn't encourage business it makes customers walk away.

Superb freshly baked goods and great coffee. Some of the baked items possibly change day to day. I sampled the home made strawberry and cream infused layered crepe cake and apple crumble. Both outstanding.

Great experience beautiful historical place in Russell has a lovely team that will guid you through the place with the great knowledge of the Islands history and also pompallier mission and printery
