Debbie Hambling is a BAD business operator!!! Please take the time to read this if you are considering Northcote Interiors for curtains, blinds or shutters. We accepted a quotation of $21,000 for curtains, blinds and shutters for our brand new property in the Manawatu on 24 November 2022. We paid the asked 50% deposit and were super excited for our European curtains. As at today's date, almost 6 months later we are still without shutters! Our curtains and blinds were both delayed due to a multitude of reasons that Debbie gave us, which we do not understand or accept. Over the past 5 months we have visited Debbie in store, emailed, made unanswered phone calls and sent messages and texts for updates and these were not replied to, or on the rare occasion were answered we were given an excuse that her supplier was not responding. Our understanding, based on a verbal date from Debbie was that we would have our blinds, curtains and shutters in February/March. We were told the first container from China had arrived in April and our shutters were not included. After many attempts to contact Debbie today she actually returned our phone call to tell us our shutters are possibly still 9 to 11 weeks away with no apology or reason?! We have had to make the decision based on zero trust and confidence in Debbie to find another supplier. From what other suppliers have told us it appears that our order which we have never seen could not of got placed. Which means another 3 months wait.... Debbie's communication and after sales service has been found lacking! It is very clear to us that this business owner is out of her depth and does not have genuine supplier relationships. Of course, we have expressed our concern and disappointment to Debbie in several emails which have not been responded to. We are BEYOND frustrated and are writing this review to warn potential customers of the issues we have been forced to face with a bad business operator in Debbie Hambling. Debbie has removed the joy of having window dressings our beautiful new home ...

Debbie at Northcote interiors are always extremely helpful and patient. They have a wide range of products and services. We would highly reccomend the store to everyone.
