Mossburn Railway Hotel
Stayed at Mossburn pub 3 nights last week and were treated brilliantly- good old fashioned southern hospitality. Great work Tom and team - who went the extra mile to make our stay highly enjoyable. Couldn’t recommend more highly. It is no coincidence that the hotel was full of the bustle of visitors - great to see

Part of a group of 22 bike riders. Everything was great. The meals were fantastic. All the group were very happyI was in a hotel room with an ensuite. For an older establishment it couldn't be faulted

Awesome place to stay! We can’t rate the owners and staff enough. Really good sense of humour, excellent food and a clean and comfy bed. A lot of places were busy and we felt lucky to grab an available room here. Thanks for having us

A lot of guests banging on doors after midnight, with one man even banging loudly on my door then barging right in (scary). Check-out is at 10am, but house-keepers start noisily cleaning rooms + bathrooms at about 8am for some reason. Very offputting to hear there'd better not be any more effing people needing to use the showers as I've just effing cleaned them" outside your room

Great place to stay (#Wheels & Reels) while doing Around the Mountain cycle trail.Tom is very accommodating with transport and times.Meals are awesome, good selection on menu and very nice !! Highly recommend.

Mossburn Railway Hotel
Tom and his team were great. We were on a motorcycle tour of the South Island so we booked for 10 of us before arriving. What a super night we had and the food was absolutely sublime- the best we had in the whole of the South Island, especially the ribs and lamb shanks!!

Good internet. Noisy when people are opening/closing doors. I was actually awakened by the snore from other room :(Light is not bright enough. Cold on a rainy day. Tried to turn on heater a bit but it smells. The gray color cover on top of the bed is dusty.

Enjoyed dinner together with friends. We all had a great meal. Lots of menu choices. Good wine list. We liked the Tight Lines pale ale with a bite. Friendly atmosphere. Comfortable booth seating in well maintained and nicely decorated room. Good ambiance. Happy night.

Everything is good about this place.especially the owner is one of the finest person and really friendly nature. Do not forget to try beer from the bar , it is perfect for to set your evening.Wish to see them again.
