Herries Arch
This is a large commemorative stone arch located at the northern end of Harris Park, on The Strand and at the Harington St roundabout. Bearing a tablet it was built by Council c.1929, in memory of the late Sir William Herries who was a member of New Zealand’s Parliament representing the Bay of Plenty Region and Tauranga from 1896 until his death in 1923.
