Fox Glacier Guiding - Glacier Tours & Adventures

A once in a lifetime experience.We got lucky with a break in the weather for our tour this morning and I'm so happy that we did.The staff were brilliant and made sure we were safe at all times but went out of their way to show us all the cool features of the glacier.Highly recommended doing this tour.

It was one of the best experience ever. Our guide, Flah, was very professional and patient. She guided and assisted my mom when needed and made her feel very safe while on the ice. She did not lose her patience not even once, still a smile on her face. Flah also show us around the glacier while explaining how it was formed. Not only that, she took tonnes of pictures for everyone in the group and her pictures were 100%. Definitely 10 stars experience.

This was hands down my favorite experience on my 2 week trip to New Zealand! See pics for reference. You have to treat yourself to this tour if you go (and I highly recommend the guide named Cam).| brought my mom with me (in her mid 60's) and we did the half day heli hike. If I didn't have her with me I would have done a full day tour so I could explore the moulins.What I loved about our guide Cam was that1. He was so knowledge about the glacier and we learned so much 2. He has a great sense of humor 3. He kept an eye out for my mom the whole time! She can be clumsy and is at the age where she is more cautious when walking on normal ground (let alone on ice) and Cam made her feel safe the whole time

Had been looking forward to this experience for so long. Did a lot of research, read a ton of reviews and was very happy that we decides to visit Fox Glacier. Our guide was Rhys. Super fun. Answered all questions and made sure that the weakest member of the group was looked after. We could have gone a lot faster but that's the thing about groups.The morning of our tour it was quiet cloudy and we weren't sure if we could actually go at all. So I was happy to find out that you don't fly all the way up on glacier but stay more towards lower part (not flying through clouds). Heli flight was unfortunately very short. But overall such a cool" experience. Like others said before

A once in a lifetime experience!If you are in the area, go for it.Recommended to book in advance, cause it's very popular! Check the weather forecast before you book, cause you want to end up up there on a sunny day, rather than a hazy or foggy day.Don't forget sunscreen, sunglasses and cold weather gear.No toilets up there of cause, so be prepared to take some toilet paper with you to have a sit down...with the most stunning views;)

The Heli-Hike was by far the best things we’ve done in New Zealand!You’ll start by being checked in and then your group will be given a safety briefing and fitted out with your equipment before being transferred a short drive to the helicopter. That’s when the fun starts and you take a short but amazing flight to the Glacier.All the staff we encountered (Jenna, Cam, Stretch, Moss) were great at their job and it was clear they love it! Moss, our guide was hilarious and made the experience even better!The walk on the glacier was mind blowing, better than expected and worth every cent, we’d 100% do this experience again!! Do this, don’t second guess it!

I can confidently say that this was the best experience I had during my entire New Zealand adventure. From start to finish, I was captivated by every aspect of this incredible journey. The briefing before the hike was informative and helpful, setting the stage for an unforgettable day.The safety instructors were not only knowledgeable but also made the experience enjoyable with their fun and engaging approach. The guides were the true stars of the show - they were not only fun and entertaining, but also highly professional. Their enthusiasm was infectious as they went above and beyond to ensure we saw every breathtaking sight, including a remarkable glacial cave-like structure.What truly impressed me was their flexibility with time. They didn't limit us to a fixed hike duration; instead, they extended it by an entire hour to ensure we didn't miss a single thing. While the price may be on the higher side, I can assure you it's worth every penny. If you're in New Zealand, this is an absolute must-do experience that will leave you with lifelong memories!

We had a fantastic day (heli hike) on Fox glacier with our guide Flo! The service is great because the our reservation for a cloudy day could be changed to a day of full ☀️. I recommend to do the walk and not just the heli and touch down for a photo. I never was in a helicopter before and it was a sensation, but I like the walk even more. You get the equipment to walk on the ice and many opportunities for great shoots. The most special moment was a kind of an ice cave we could ascend with a rope. Highly recommended (expensive but worth the money)
