Toured the South Island with James. He was a fantastic tour guide. From day one James created a great atmosphere amongst the group which was great as a solo traveller. James was very organised and was great for improvising on the tour when things didn't go to plan ( e.g. the weather). Would highly recommend James and his tours.

First time in NZ(North Island) with my family, and it was an adventure we will never forget. James was our tour guide and he did a great job showcasing the beauty of NZ. 10 out of 10!! Can’t wait to go back, and it would be great to have James as our tour guide again!

I was so lucky to visit beautiful NZ and James was our tour guide throughout the North Island. There were a couple of things that stood out to me about James. When weather got in the way of our anticipated itinerary, he moved things around and made sure the group still got to experience the highlights and then some. James always went the extra mile to ensure we got spots on fun excursions, and had excellent knowledge to share about local recommendations. Best of all, he shared his Maori culture. I loved hearing the stories as we traveled from town to town, or while on a hike to a beautiful waterfall. Our little tour group grew into a family in a short time, and James was most certainly part of it. Highly recommend.

James was our tour guide during our recent trip to the South Island. James went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met and that we got the most out of our tour. Well organised, knowledgeable and very friendly. Proud of and willing to share with us his Maori culture. I highly recommend James as a tour guide.

We recently were on tour in New Zealand with James - what a wonderful tour guide! He was fun, interesting and was able to share so much information about the sites we visited, as well as about the roads along the way.We learned so much about the country, the sites and the various traditions from him.The drives were always fun and happy - he set up a musical play list and enabled everyone in the group to contribute. And absolutely one of the best and safest drivers!He was easy to contact and even when we were on our own without the group, he came to pick us up when we sent him our location.He was so very, very helpful and considerate. He always brought the vehicle to facilitate loading of luggage, even if he had to go door to door.My husband and I recommend him highly!!Rona and Ed

Toured the South Island of NZ over the course of a week with James as our guide. He really made sure everyone was taken care of, whether it was helping to book activities, picking up part of our crew who biked a bit too far to make it back to town in time, all the way to fixing a water logged cell phone! He also knew all the best swimming holes and scenic lookouts to stop off along our drive around the island which made the trip that much more special.I really can’t say enough good things about James, and would highly recommend him as a guide to anyone looking to visit New Zealand!

James is a 5 star guide. He has good local knowledge for bits not on the itinerary as well as what’s on the programme. On a small tour he is very much part of the group rather than clocking off. Whatever time and whatever question he is always willing to help. James often shared history. life stories and information about Māori culture and life which was always interesting. He has a warm and kind personality- you will be in safe hands. Highly recommend.

We were very lucky to have James as our tour guide for the north island and some of the south. James was very professional,  nice, easy going, was able to juggle and handle whatever needed when things did not go exactly according to plans (cyclone…) and all with a smile and great attitude.  He cared about each person and their personal need, and went above and beyond, whatever is needed. And also, very important, a great and safe driver!James became one of our group family, and it was sad saying goodbye to him mid tour. He surely made our tour (and our group bonding) great!

I traveled the South Island with James as my guide. He made me feel welcome and safe throughout the whole trip. I didn’t book any activities before I started my trip and James ensured I got to do all the activities I wanted to do. He went the extra mile and booked spontaneous trips to fit the group ie wine tasting, limo rides, while still keeping the trip on schedule.He will deliver the best kiwi experience you will never forget.
