THE MEWS OAMARU

Very clean accommodation and a reasonably comfortable bed. The “fresh” milk we were given was not fresh and made for an undrinkable cuppa. The owner is somewhat grumpy and comes across as unwelcoming. First time we’ve encountered this in NZ. Typically, new customers are made to feel welcome.

If you're for a place to stay with all the modern comforts and above average cleanliness then mews is the place to go. Regularly maintained and warm it's one of the top picks for Oamaru. Just off to the side of the main road but very quiet and peaceful.

a great room,upstairs with easy access, very clean and comfortable, king bed, electric blankets, in room heating bh radiators which kept it very cosy. lovely bathroom, great water pressure on shower, the whole experience was very good. Plenty of car parking and short fistance to gown center

Excellent accomadation at an affordable price.The Bathroom was stunning with the best water pressure you could imagine.I highly recommend staying here when in Oamaru

We booked the $205 room which has 2 beds and a bathroom with spa. The kitchen has electric kettle, microwave and a stove top too. The room is clean and cozy. It was great value for money, one of the best accommodations we ever had in New Zealand.

In my fortnight of travelling around South Island, The Mews was the most outstanding accommodation I’ve stayed at. Modern, quiet, comfortable with a Spa, pleasant shower, big flat screen TV (for any rainy day, or nice evening viewing). The welcome was warm, advice on sights to see, excellent and no surprise that Lonely Planet features The Mews as the place to stay in Oamaru. My apartment could easily accommodate three ( queen bed and separate single) two lounge chairs, good sized desk, and the FASTEST INTERNET at nearly 100 Mb download and upload speeds. Great for streaming! Best of all, this is outstanding value at less than $180/nite.I highly recommend The Mews!

Great overall experience. Rooms were well equipped, clean and have all items as one except. I stayed in a studio room which was big enough. There is limited but adequate car park.

We would love to stay here again. Its such a comfortable, nice place to stay at, so quiet and a homely feel. If we stay again in Oamaru we will stay here!

Friendly reception and welcome, easy to find. Located off main/busy part of Oamaru and room was in a quiet location of the block. Tidy and we'll kept rooms, informative folder with lots of options for food, local narrative and experiences. Was great for working and zoom environment.
