McLeod Bay Fish and Chips
Great staff, friendly as, really good quality Kai too. Not cheap but what is up here, the ‘north land I hate jafas but love their money’ syndrome is epic in Whangarei, so all good used to it now, awesome view, pretty epic just on dusk after a day cruising the heads. Thankyou & see you again, top quality. Awesome. Lots of parking.

Service gets 5 stars for friendliness, the site is great but sadly the fish and chips fell short. Too greasy by far, chips were not crisp enough, batter was heavy. People were lovely - 5 stars, but food only 2 or 3 stars.

Fresh snapper fish was delicious and the chips were tasty. Generous portion of ketchup if bought. Fast service too. Ideal for eating on the nearby beach which the views to match.

McLeod Bay Fish and Chips
These are the best fish and chips we have had in the Whangarei area. The fish was fresh and the batter was light and crispy as well as the chips. There is a great outdoor table to sit at looking out at the hills and the beach. The owners are very welcoming also. We highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back.

Great fish and chips! We go after hiking Mount Aubry and Manaia for ice cream and fish and chips. It is take away only. There is 1 picnic table that you can eat at, if it's open.

Good price for snapper, expensive chips. All the food was good and I think this has the best view of any takeaway I've been to so far. Staff wore masks, so did we, some others didn't.
