Tony's Tyre Service - Petone Lower Hutt

I like others have found Tony's tyres petone not to be honest. I dropped a flat tyre off to be diagnosed and repaired. When I returned they had not repaired the puncture as they said the tyre was too old. They told me they had been very busy so had not contacted me this was not true as there where three of them standing around when I dropped the tyre off with no other customers there. They talked me into two tyres and then tried to talk me out of the tyres I wanted (the same as the rear tyres) in favour of their house tyres and worst of all they tried the standard scam...you need a wheel alignment" when I did not. These guys are not honest

Had the rotors replaced for my car and the team did really good job. Especially Rix, he is friendly and knows his work very well. If you are new in the town would really recommend these guys.

Fast, efficient and reliable even when they’re about to close up for the day as they got us sorted right away with new tyres with only a few minutes to spare. Cannot recommend them enough, fantastic service!

Turned up probably 10 minutes before close on a Friday after a popped tyre. Expecting to sort something out for the following day but to my surprise they had me fixed up right there and then. Very pleased with the service. :)

Be careful of this Tony's branch. I believe they also prey on people who don't know anything about tyres. My daughter took a standard Toyota corolla tyre in for a puncture repair only to be told she needed a new tyre as they said it had two holes and couldn't be repaired" (see photos attached and you will see it doesn't have two holes). She then left and bought the tyre and wheel home for me to look at. I have more than 40 years of car knowledge having raced many cars on the track at Manfield and having owned more than 43 cars over the years so I'm very confident in my mechanical
