Well worth a visit in Whangarei! Free to enter. Small and interesting exhibits, including interactive elements. Only improvement to suggest is it would be great to have more information on the artists who produced the pieces as I was left feeling curious!

This place has definitely made me more self-motivated to discover more about the art scene and want to interact and communicate with the different art societies in Northland. I get to learn through the people there how the gallery and art process works and is a great treat to the public!

A few shots of the outside of this really interesting building. 81 Dent St is the address (town basin). Cafe operating. Parking further along the road. Latest addition to a very family-friendly zone of Whangarei. Cafes, shops and arts and crafts to found in this zone.

Loved it. We saw Yoko Ono exposition, ive always deeply admired her performance art work as an individual, isn't she the ideal of every mum mother. Yes I am thinking. Even as child, I knew there was more to her than being a beatle THE BEATLES wife. Thoroughly enjoyed the mended pieces. Yoko Ono should move to New Zealand where her work would be appreciated 100 times more thank you gallery for hosting.

We were on a school trip and found the staff very knowledgeable. They related to the children well and could get the information across at the appropriate level. Well worth it. The art exhibition was on Where children sleep" from around the world and the children found it very thought provoking."

Wonderful gallery, beautifully set out, you really feel the magic walking though and feel like you in another creative world. The staff were amazing ,took lots of time to explain the work and were so enthusiastic. I credit to Whangarei.

Great gallery.Very interesting exhibition on Hikurangi swamp, which I would recommend to all.One of the world's largest inland swamps... made into pasture. The wildlife would have been abundant! Learn from past mistakes...

Interesting little space but minimal so I wouldn't go out of my way to go here. But it is located close to lots of other cool sights and spots to visit in the town basin so if you have time to kill then why not!
