Roger Hunter's Garden Centre

Beautiful garden Lots of plants from palms,cycads,flowers to Native plants and more. some plants may be damaged or wobbly but do keep in mind its quite a big garden with every plant having at least 10 or more of the same and sometimes the plants overcrowd each other. Everything is at a price you cant really argue with as other plants nurseries and stores i have been to have their prices through the roof. $60 got me a Small ponga an alpine water fern a good sized Golden Pohutukawa and a small Kauri tree. I see some reviews that have Roger as an extremely rude person but so far everythings been great

Massive varieties of plants, trees, flowers, gardens pots. The prices are normally lower than other garden centres. A must visit for garden lovers.

This place is a must go! Majority of my plants are from here. They have the best range and prices in Auckland. Totally worth the drive if you are travelling from the shore or west. Easy access and plenty of parking, basically straight off the motorway. Massively convenient with a wide range of options

The affordability and service you'll get from here is 10/10! Bought a monstera for $24 when some other places will sell them for $70 or more. Roger also gives some great tips when taking care of your plants.

Always a treat to go to Rogers. Super cheap prices with a huge range of plants - indoor and outdoor. Roger always makes me laugh and gives great genuine advice about the plants. Highly recommended if you are after a deal!

It’s in the name, truely Roger’s style. We are so used to conventional retailing and conventional customer service some people can’t handle Roger’s. Yes Roger has insulted me and yes it’s a bit chaotic but that’s Roger. If you don’t like it don’t go. Roger has fantastic plant knowledge if he tells you something believe it. If you don’t want to take his suggestion be firm. I’ll go over and over because I love the uniqueness, the selection is great and most importantly prices are fantastically good.It’s like this if you like travelling in the developing world you’ll probably love it. If you can’t handle the developing countries you won’t enjoy Roger’s

Decent quality and pricing is ok.but I would much rather shop somewhere where people are respected and treated fairly.The things I have heard pour out of Rogers mouth like nothing are foul!!And after reading other reviews and hearing other peoples experiences with Roger, I believe he is genuinely just a rude and condescending person, not just a woke up on the wrong side of the bed but will be fine tomorrow" person. Wow we were quite surprised with Roger’s Garden Centre. Its very big and has lots and lots of varieties. A plantlovers dream, lots of varieties which you wont be able to find anywhere els.

Hard to find a particular plant as lots of plants in limited place. Very affordable price compared to other shops. Lots of variety of plants..Not a good place for quick shopping. You need to allocate some time to explore the place. I got these plants for nearly half the price compared to other shops
