I was lucky enough to arbitrarily choose Auckland Hearing to conduct a hearing test as part of a job recruitment issue in 2016. In 2020 I felt that it was time to do something about my growing geriatric hearing issues. These included difficulty watching TV without the volume turned up to an uncomfortable level for my wife. I was not able to enjoy music as much as I had, and in my job I speak with many people for who English is a second language and have non-kiwi accents. I felt that my inability to hear well was unfair to them. Marie carried out a battery of tests and was able to demonstrate the extent of the decline in my hearing over the preceding 4 years and after an wide-ranging interview was able to recommend hearing aids which she felt would meet my needs. I tried them for 2 weeks and after getting used to wearing them and the very unusual audio world, I was absolutely sold on them. Now after about 6 weeks I would not be without my hearing aids. Without them I am able to hear adequately, but with them in my world is transformed.I would recommend Auckland Hearing unreservedly for the professionalism and soundness (pun intended) of their advice.

Had my free hearing test today. The audiologist was friendly and professional. We discussed my hearing and possible solutions. They offer different state of art hearing aids to suit your needs.

Nathan is the audiologist in this quiet little practice in the sleepy side of Ellerslie. He is knowledgeable, has a great manner about him and worked briskly. I didn't get the name of the receptionist. She is welcoming and friendly. Great place to go and get your hearing tested

Excellent service!I started to hear strange noise couple days ago and I thought it might be some hair falls into my ear, and it touched my eardrum. I can't take it out myself, and my partner looked into it said it may be a white hair.So I came to this place, they used their professional machine, from that camera I can actually see that white fur deeply inside my ear, and they took it out in one minute, without much pain.They get the job done really well, and it really fast.I am very happy about my treatment.

I initially went to Maree because I wanted an independent audiologist to assess my hearing. From the first visit, I had total confidence in her as I went through this journey to being able to regain my hearing. I was never pressured to purchase any particular brand, nor was I pressured to purchase aids that were beyond what I needed. As a result, I am very happy with the aids that I now use, and with the follow up I received and will continue to receive. Maree and Anna were a delight to deal with and I thoroughly recommend Auckland Hearing.

An exceptional service that I highly recommend. Very professional, reassuring and friendly. I'd spent months putting up with blocked ears that has been affecting my hearing ability. In just 15 minutes this, pain free, wax removal treatment solved my problem. Today I feel total relief and can hear perfectly well. I wish I had discovered Auckland hearing earlier. Loved my experience with Yvonne at Auckland Hearing. I'd done a bit of prior research and sought them out because they were not aligned with any specific brands, and also because my research suggested I needed to consider Widex as a possible solution to my hearing issues. You see, I've had hearing aids for a few years however I found that the brand I'd been using had considerably diminished my enjoyment of music - I've always listened to lots of music and the lessened experience of emotional engagement was something I missed very much.Yvonne was great, and my new hearing aids really have improved my hearing considerably. Aside from enjoying music again, there was also a significant boost to the general level of speech intelligibility in most settings.But forget about the hearing aids themselves, just go to Auckland Hearing for the wide range of options and the friendly and professional service. I'm sure you won't regret it.
