To be fair, we only really come for the cookie skillet, and as per it was goooooood! However, we do not like the new addition of dry raspberry, why change something so pure and good as a cookie with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce!!!The main meals were decent, tuna was off the menu, so was offered scallop and prawn skewers instead, which were actually better, fresh, and delicious. Kids cheese burger was average, but a steak sandwich was enjoyedLet's get back to the skillet - perfection in pudding form - never take this off the menu. But do drop the raspberry bits!!!

Nice place, and they're making an effort. I wanted takeaway Nasi Goreng, theirs was okay. IMHO this would have been better as a combination (chicken beef & pork) with veg & more spice instead of just prawns (and not so expensive either).

Steak cooking in front of you, cbk burger, smoked manuka salmon and ribs. Kids fruit bowl and chkn and chips. Took the Whanau and we had a great time. I recommend you go there and my niece loved the cocktails....

Nice decor, ok food.Went with the kids, they enjoyed it. Really nice looking setup, good space, off street parking was an unexpected bonus. Outside space seems like it would be awesome in the summer, but is fine with the heaters on cooler evenings too.Lots of good things about this place, just wish the food wasn’t so bland and better value - don’t try the nachos.

Me and my 5 friends had a lovely dinner, the food tasted amazing, was fresh and took little time to be served to us.The front of house staff was very kind and polite when bring our food and other cocktails which were over the moon in quality and creativity.I would highly recommend coming here for a great time.

Excellent food, more people should come and enjoy especially on a wet cold Saturday. My son loved the bacon/syrup waffles and I really appreciated the heart seafood chowder.

HiThis review is associated with our family lunch we had at Cbk. We dined on 12 JulyWe arrived around opening time and ordered meals with the front of house young lady which was really good with the banter and friendly mannerDrinks were ordered which arrived in a reasonable time frame as our party of 11 had time to catch up while we waitedHowever from that point things were not so great!!After an extraordinary period of time waiting for the meals we had to go to the bar and check on the progress of our meals then within a few minutes these appeared progressively over the next 10 minutes with chips for our younger family members and our meals followed onAmongst the orders were 2 seafood chowdersThese meals were disgusting. - It appears from the style of the 2 chowder meals the chef may have gone to the local supermarket while we waited to buy a bag of frozen cubed vegetables, three prawns couple of bits of whitefish and a few mussels to “make” the meals With this it seemed from the meal the chef just used some flour/water and mixed the whole lot up in a big pot and slapped this on a plate with raised edges to prevent the “soup” from flowing off during servingWe attempted to eat the chowder after requesting a spoon to help to consume itWe then went to settle the account and raised our concerns. We were asked by the till administrator if our meals were ok. Obviously we complainedWith this and to the credit of the front of restaurant staff we were asked what to do to remedy this. We responded to send the chef to “seafood chowder school”Our experience was not good but the gift card was well appreciated to offset the “chowder experience “Les
