Love the wide variety of stock at Countdown. I wasn't a huge shopper at Countdown but I love the Porirua stores range of confectionery, Ice cream/Ice blocks and school lunch range for my family. The $1 clearance produce bags are an awesome bargain and I always make sure to check out the yellow stickered items for great deals. Helps to stretch the dollar further and save money in the long run! Thanks Countdown Porirua!

Large Countdown supermarket. But doesn't seem to have their stock management or supply chain sorted. Of a number of times I've driven there to get specific items on Special, I have never once got what I wanted, it was always out of stock. Happened again today. All the other Countdowns I've been to may run out of Specials occasionally, but I've never been consistently disappointed. This Countdown store just doesn't feel as well run as the others I go to. I won't bother in future.Update: Thought I'd try again, 10 months since my last visit. Wanted to get some dishwashing tablets on special, surprise...Out of stock again

I went here with my dear granddaughter we are visiting from America and where very disappointed to see that you had no guns, What kind of respectable store has no guns? I come from new jersey and in jersey this is NOT how things are run.I know im from america and all but how am i suppost to protect my daughter from taika why titi? That new movie of his was a disgrace! Not to mention the disaster that the thor movies where VERY disappointing.When i was shopping here with my grandaughter we where approched by a “lorde” ? Anyway she was VERY rude!!! She started singing about citys? Somethjng about seen on tv?Disappointing

Great supermarket, great selection, and has a pharmacy with free prescriptions. I use the App with my shopping list, and it tells me what aisle has what I am looking for. Very friendly staff and very lucky lotto shop.

Supermarket is on one level, so wheelchair access is available but some of the spaces in between the aisles may not be sufficiently spaced out for a wheelchair? There's an in-store pharmacy that has its own business hours, so make sure to check the opening hours before visiting? If you need assistance with finding a product, there are usually staff members available on the shop floor. The soft plastics recycling bin is located behind the self-service checkout machines and Council e-sacks for both Wellington and Porirua, are available by the self-service checkouts. Shopping carts and baskets are neatly stacked in the fruits and vegetables department
