Music with Ming

Ming is a fantastic piano teacher. She is very professional and thorough in her approach to teaching piano. She has a high level of skill and knowledge of the piano that she teaches beautifully to our son. She is always very patient and supportive and explains all concepts very carefully. We highly recommend Music with Ming.

I've been wanting to restart piano lessons for some time and finally got around to doing it. 15 years ago I was learning the traditional way and never really got going. I have had 3 lessons with Ming and I can't recommend her enough. I took piano lessons for over 6 years growing up, but the focus was so much on reading notes that I didn't get to enjoy it as much. I've really enjoyed the style that Ming uses. She's an excellent teacher! Highly recommended.

I've always wanted to learn the piano since i was a little kid bit never had the means to do it. Fast forward 30 years i came across 'music with ming' the program is so straight forward, and ming has a way of simplifying things.She gets so much done in a short amount of time, she gives constructive criticism and most importantly meets u where u are, providing a safe judgements free environment where students can thrive.We're thousands miles away and not once did i feel like doing the class online was hard or not beneficial.I always enjoy doing the class from the comfort of my home, and i've seen so much progress in my piano playing skills.From day 1 i'm playing music pieces with two hands which is something i've always dreamt of doing. And ming was able to provide the building blocks that then created a great foundation for my current piano skills that are only getting better.

My children have been doing piano lessons with Ming since the start of the year and they are really enjoying. Ming is a very joyful encouraging teacher which helps my children with learning. I appreciate the clear communication from Ming on what the kids have been learning the notes on things they can work on throughout the week. Learning to play the piano has been on my bucket list for years. I finally got down to it when I found out that Ming is using a programme that starts off without the need to read music notes (just something I find daunting). Started learning several weeks ago and it has been extremely enjoyable. Since I'm not in NZ, she has been teaching me online and it's been surprisingly effective. My 8yr old daughter is excited to be learning piano with Ming, she has had 3 shared lessons with a friend which has been a great way to do it. Ming is both professional and fun, and the Simply Music programme allows learning to be enjoyable and rewarding from the beginning.

Ming is a fantastic teacher and pianist. She is able to communicate very clearly with our kids online, keeping them engaged and enthusiastic about learning piano. The simply music curriculum is great because the kids get to enjoy making music right from the first lesson, and Ming is a master of the method. We love Ming!

Ming is a very good teacher and I have learnt heaps since I started taking classes with her. I especially enjoy how you don't need to have experience in music to be able to learn the piano. Ming is a lovely person and I would highly recommend her as a piano teacher.

I started learning piano 5 years ago, and then stopped. I saw Simply Music on Google and was intrigued. I booked an appointment to meet with Ming, from my first meeting I felt very comfortable with Ming. I thoroughly enjoy my lessons and all the knowledge that Ming brings to the lessons.
