Whenuakite Kiwi Zone Viewpoint
A simple lookout area which also serves as a slow vehicle bay at a turning corner of the winding state highway 25. The actual lookout point is 1 min short walk thru the bushes from the parking. Nothing much other than a bench and few information boards. Many cars stopping here, do be mindful, do not block the way.

Well worth a stop as you drive through. Close to the entrance is a path through the vegetation to get the best views - hard to pick if you don't know it's there.

Looked like an underrated place to me. So please so stop here and appreciate the beauty. The walking trail to the viewpoint is comouflaged by bushes so find it and go for it.

Did not realise this is a Kiwi Sanctuary as well!Great lookout. You go thru bushes about 20 metres emerge with an awesome view of the sea and the forest. You can also drop your donation to support the sanctuary in a dropbox before leaving.

Quick stop of the freeway. Well worth the stop gorgeous view after a sort walk to stretch your legs just what you need during a long drive.
