What a view, sunrise, sunset especially high tide, picture perfect moments. Enjoy the walks, 7.45km around trip or go around the Millwater fields and hockey courts bang on 8km.

On the whole, an interesting walk. It can be a little confusing as a tourist when trying to complete the full loop because of a lack of signs and interaction of main roads and their pathways.

Orewa Estuary Reserve
Lovely place for a stroll or a bike ride or jog. The experience is made 10x better when the tide is in! The first time I rode my bike around the estuary track, I was an overweight smoker and had no issues thanks to the lack of hills! Also, there's lots of pathways branching off to various parts of Orewa, Red Beach and Millwater so the main path acts like a mini highway. Good for a leisurely stroll home from one of Orewas many watering holes. Overall probably the best estuary around.
