Clearwater Spouting Ltd

We use Clearwater Spouting a lot in our business for either supplying us with material required or replacing guttering when a roll former is required on site. Nothing is ever a problem for them & they do a great job.

Chris the owner, was a nice guy to deal with. His guys duly turned up on time, in three clean vehicles, and were all very professional and courteous A very promising start. By the end of the day, they had not only stripped the old spouting off, but had installed all of the new, except for the downpipes and one section of flashing which we asked to be added to the job on the day of install. Two of the guys returned two days later (it would have been next day, but for the extra piece of flashing had to be sourced), and finished up. Only one slight gripe, is that some of the contents of the old spouting ie old rotten leaves and muck, was left strewn on the gravel pathway and lawn. It would have been nice to not have to clear this up afterwards. In fairness however, our house looks a bit of a building site at the moment, so I guess they thought it wouldnt matter too much. With that in mind, it wouldnt hurt to ask about clear-up if you book a job, and if possible, have your old gutters cleaned before removal, which may seem ridiculous, but it could save quite a bit of mess.On the whole, I would say that Clearwater Spouting were a great company to deal with, and are one of the most professional I have come across in the building industry here in Christchurch. I wouldnt hesitate having them do work for me in the future.

Clearwater Spouting recently replaced all of the guttering on our house and it looks fantastic. We're so pleased we chose this company to do the job. The quote came through quickly & the job was completed promptly by some hard working, friendly & courteous young men, who also did a good clean up. Im based in Auckland and have a property in ChCh. Im always a bit concerned about hiring trades people remotely but with clear water spouting the process was very easy! Quick response time, great communication, quality job and most competitive price. 5/5 for me! Great job guys.

Had one of the team out to do a quote, the fellow attending was professional. The quote came within a day or two of his visit. The price was fairly expensive but my initial perception was that they were a professional company and I would receive a professional service. My booking was two months from when I gave the go ahead (understanding they were busy, no problem). Then the date was changed, then I was told the boys had another job to attend to first, so I waited. No one called, or attempted to contact us. After a follow up email to advise of my concern over the lack of any communication from the company I received several emails which indicated no contact was made because the office manager was away sick. If a business can't operate efficiently and keep customers informed, with or without your office manager then I would be deeply concerned. The final email (of several sent) was an extremely condescending reply from the manager. In summation, expensive, unprofessional and in the face of a justly unhappy customer, only made excuses and deflected. Will be looking elsewhere for a contractor that understands the value of good communication and how that is a key part of any service company.

Absolutely thrilled with my new gutter installation. The job couldn't have been smoother from start to finish. Very professional and easy to deal with, competitive pricing, fantastic customer service and couldn't fault the team on installation day. Highly recommended!

Positives, painting of the fasciae and spouting installation. Negatives, removal of old spouting incomplete, with screws and old brackets left scattered about my lawn and garden. Poor communication about timing of job and colour/suitability of product.

Can't talk about the new gutters as I am still waiting for them to come. Very poor communication. They just showed up unannounced for a quote one day (I guess property manager might have known and not tell us?), lucky we were home but a call would have been appreciated (not once you're in front of the house) and then planned to come repare the gutter today, no time given, gave them a call 4h ago, still waiting for call back and stuck at home not knowing when these guys are coming. Very poor communication.
