Went on a Friday with a few others for dinner.The food was cooked to a level that all enjoyed and was very well portioned matching cost.Was not expecting all the other eateries in the same space and was a tad confusing at first.Overall, very good and would go again.

This place is normally fantastic, but lately it hasn't been as good as usual. The steak I waited an hour for was well done all the way through, despite me requesting medium rare. I also had tough overcooked chicken here not long before. Victims of their own success perhaps, too busy to maintain the quality? I'll be having a long break from them.

The staff was friendly and funny. Food was amazing and with great value for money. Charcoal grilled sirloin was tender and juicy. Grilled chicken also great. Impossible to get such quality with this price from where we're from (Hong Kong), maybe needs 3 times the price.

Ordered Lamb got served Shoulder Chops which was disappointing. Very average cut of meat. Suggest you buy a leg of Lamb which is a similar price, bone it, cut decent steaks off it and serve that. Far better experience and taste for diner for similar price.

Really nice food course in Christchurch. I would recommend to go there to eat something. If you like steak, el fogon Grill is the right address. Amazing steak and the price is also amazing.They told us when we ordered that it will take approx. 25 minutes and it was even less and the steak was on point.You can choose between different steak types, different sides and different souses.I can recommend you that restaurant.

Never coming back again! Came in to the venue today for dinner with my partner. Both of us ordered the 400g rib eye bone-in; one rare, one medium-rare. Both came out blue. Upon taking it back, the chef used a temperature probe to prove a point. 1 steak probed at 33.1°c (blue) and the other probed at 44.3°c (border line blue/rare). The chef was so rude trying to convince me the medium rare was 45°. Being a chef myself, I corrected him. He took the plates and asked if we wanted them cooked longer. He rolled his eyes when we said yes.Experience was awful, would not recommend. 1 star is only due to the fries, which were good. The mashed potato and leek was very bland and grainy.

We ordered mixed grill of assorted meat to share - well-marinated, full of spices, smokey flavour, complemented with traditional chimichurri sauce, nicely dressed salad, and crunchy chips. Reminded me of the time I had meaty Parrillas on a street in Buenos Aires. A glass of Mate would accompany it well.

The meat empanadas where good but they where wet because of the big quantity of oil. They had rice inside (strange but it wasn't bad). The Milanesa was very very small for the price. It doesn't worth it
