Very friendly people, but tend to get a bit snappy if queues are long, rather large variety of items for its location and population size it caters to. Did not proactively take the New world Loyalty card or was bothered about the points!

Want to become a bureaucrat, go work at this New World !!! I have been refused to buy alcohol here as they do not accept a non NZ drivers license OR a picture of my passport. It should be normal to have your passport on you when going to the supermarket right? Even though I parked just outside so they could see what I was driving. All of that is of course not proof enough.Did not know new world is actually a governmental organisation and the staff state clerks!

They need to know that buying beers or alcohol with a driver licence is legal in NZ. Your driver licence needs to be in English. If they want to know the law they can go see on “oversees driver licence regulations) you can drive for one year with it legally ask a policeman.
