This recently renovated and opened pub in the center of the city adds a really good alternative to some of the waterfront and downtown venues. There are a number of levels, and the ability to have a semi-private group booking, or just strolling and set yourself down. My advice would be to go for the spicy meatballs!

Like a tardis, much bigger than expected with four levels. It's a little stark following it's renovation. It could easily be made more cosy with a roaring fire or two, some soft furnishings and allowing locals to bring their dogs in. A good start for this lovely old building, lots of potential to turn it into a really great local venue.

I can’t recommend Chapman Taylor café enough it’s in Molesworth street WellingtonThe ambience service and best seafood chowder I have ever tastedThe owner has restored what was The famous Architects workshop into something very specialDo yourself a favour and go there you won’t be disappointed

Surprisingly spacious bar, good use of outdoors areas for tables. Reasonable selection of beer and wine, some great ciders on hand!

Good food, average service, but don’t provide feedback to owners. They will go off and bite your head off. Go up to the cafes and restaurants in Tinakori Village.

This was my first visit with work colleagues for after work drinks on a Friday. Loved it. Probably my new favourite. Lovely inside and outdoor courtyard space. The 'bucket' of chips were chrisp and delicious.
