Goldies Te Horo were amazing at looking after our puppy while we were away! We could tell from the moment we dropped her off she was going to be in the best care. It has beautiful grounds and each doggy has its own space at night. We really appreciated the text to let us know she had enjoyed her first night. Thank you for everything!!

Our two dogs love Goldie's Te Horo. Great people running it, very popular. Well set up. Dogs have been asleep before we've got back on the main road!

Goldies Te Horo
We have used this kennels many times over the years and every time our dog has received excellent care. Skye gets sooo excited arriving there,when we pick her up she seems to suffer withdrawal symptoms after leaving! We thoroughly recommend Goldies, they are one of a kind!! We know we never have to worry when Skye is there!

What a fabulous place for your goldie to have a holiday! The owners are a delight to deal with and you feel confident that your dog will be well looked after. I know our dog Poppy got very excited as we got nearer and nearer to the retreat!

We have been taking our 2 Golden Retrievers to Goldies Te Horo for several years, quite happily, but last time we took our Golden Retriever (over the Christmas holiday 2021/22), we were very disappointed by the whole experience. The lingering sense for us was that the owner seemed annoyed when we brought in our dog. We worry how he was treated while he was there (no updates either for the 7 days he was there, no questioning how much food he needed, she basically grabbed him and stormed off, not giving us a chance to give her our Goldie's basket or even his familiar toy which we'd brought along). We won't be taking our dog back.
