Amazing food every time we have attended their many different events. A beautiful picturesque location. But most importantly, lovely down to earth humans you just want to spend more time with!! Looking forward to attending a bistro night soon. Can't wait to see what else you bring to the local community, how lucky are we to have you here! :D

A truly special wedding venue - everything we hoped for and more.We could not recommend Oruawharo more highly as a wedding venue. We held our wedding there on 11 March 2023 and absolutely loved it, as did our family and guests.Oruawharo offers the perfect combination of:- stunning gardens for a beautiful ceremony and drinks, canapes and lawn games- the absolutely beautiful St Vincent's Church which is a magical setting for the evening reception - with a fantastic wooden floor for dancing (we had a salsa wedding and it was perfect)- Oruawharo Homestead - which offers 3 beautiful ensuite guest rooms, and a gorgeous wet weather ceremony option- very friendly hosts- excellent quality food- beautiful accommodationWe stayed at the Homestead with our family and enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful rooms, with a truly fantastic night before the wedding family dinner and delicious breakfasts. Will is an outstanding chef - sourcing fruit and vegetables from the Oruawharo gardens and quality ingredients, we were so impressed. He offers fantastic and delicious menu options and caters for dietary requirements. We would happily travel back from Wellington for a dinner night sometime. Your guests won't be disappointed with the excellent food served at your wedding. Will, Bianca and Rob were excellent hosts. One of the reasons we chose Oruawharo for our wedding was how welcoming they were when they visited. They are truly hospitable - and Bianca was always smiling :) We loved how they have created connections and friendships within the local community - and we enjoyed Junction and Ash Ridge wines at our wedding. It truly is a stunning and welcoming wedding and events venue. There are also excellent local options for your wedding planning needs. We really recommend:- Wedding cake: Rubylicious cakes https://www.rubyliciouscakes.com/Ruby offers beautiful designs in a range of delicious flavours, with set up on the day. Ruby took the time to meet with us and talk through designs and options - and we loved how the dried flower arrangement on our cake, and recommend her banana cake with lemon cream cheese icing - yum!- Flowers- Paige Harley at E-Central Flowers Waipukurau [email protected] was incredibly helpful in helping me work out what I would like for wedding flowers and advising on options for flowers in season. She made beautiful bouquets, button holes and table flowers and delivered them to the venue.- Hair - Hair and Beauty Gallery Waipawa, https://www.facebook.com/hairbeautyGallerywaipawa/I adored my wedding hair, which was done by Katherine. She was so lovely, helpful, calm and talented - everything you want on your wedding day. She really made the effort to understand the look I was hoping for and made my hair so look beautiful I felt like a princess - and it stayed in all night. Thank you Katherine :)- Bruns Charter Services - We hired a 49 seater coach to take our guests to and from the wedding venue (from Waipukurau). David was really helpful and delivered and collected our guests on time. https://www.brunscoaches.co.nz/- Thornton Lodge Motel (Penny and Steve) and Fergusson Motor Lodge (Richard) - our guests enjoyed their stay at these motels, and Penny, Steve and Richard were really helpful. https://www.thorntonlodge.net.nz/accommodation/ and https://www.fergussonsmotorlodge.co.nz/

Any chance we can get, we will drive from Napier to Takapau just to be a part of this gorgeous homestead. Will’s background in French Cuisine and time overseas really shines through with his flavours and presentation. I have enjoyed many dishes in my life but I must say that some of these are the best I have ever tried. On arrival we are always greeted with a big smile, hug, and a good laugh. Their manaakitanga really does make you feel like family. Bianca not only has the best nails in town, but has the ability to do many things at once, with a smile, and still notice when the farthest table needs a top up :)If you want comfort and grandeur in your dining experience then I can’t recommend St. Vincent’s enough. Great to see the whisky selection expanding too!

Amazing hi tea experience. I took my 88 year old mother and some friends. It was delicious and definitely a substitute for a lunch. The house tour was a bonus on top. Its fascinating and the family are a wealth of interesting facts.I think this place would be great for a wedding to.

Thank you Bianca & Will for a splendid high tea experience. We really appreciated you accommodating our various dietary particularities (the food was delicious, fresh & high quality) & that you made a fuss of our elderly mum - you are stars. The tour of your Homestead was a particular highlight. A very enjoyable day! ☺️
