Abit disappointed, $9 for frozen crinkle cut chips and $10 for an average cheeseburger. I heard the ribs and brisket were good so I'll try them next time maybe.

Ribs were great. Extremely meaty and saucy.Corn was super tasty.The wings with hot sauce were how wings should be done!The brisket toasted sandwich is like a smoked Reuben-esque sandwich. A total hit.The star of the show for us was the smokey beans with brisket. Absolutely stunning! Packed full of flavour.Quickly becoming our favourite place on the coast to eat.

Smoked and Pickled catered our wedding in March 2023 and absolutely knocked it out of the park. One of our guests ate TWENTY of the corn nuggets, they were so good. The Texas beans and brisket got more rave reviews than I can count. And what’s more Alice and Craig are both so lovely, and wonderful to work with!

Sadly disappointed. Ordered delivery, ribs were good, if not great value (7 ribs $25). Came with 'slaw and pickles' the slaw seemed to just be shredded iceburg lettuce, and the pickles was a spoonful of sauerkraut and 3 slices of pickle. $8 worth of hot chips was a pretty small portion (half as much as a $3 scoop at a fish & chip joint) and sadly undercooked. Sauce was great though. Toasted sandwich was on basic sandwich bread, again undercooked, and probably not worth $12 (comparing to similar offerings from the likes of Salt and Wood).I feel bad about the review but it was a big disappointment for $50 which was meant to be a celebration meal. I'll try again in a few months and hopefully update this to 5 stars.

The smoked brisket and beans were insanely tasty!! I have been wanting it again so badly, why have they closed? I hope it’s not for good!

Today was our first visit and we had the brisket toasties and the beans. They are both so, SO good. I don't even know which I enjoyed more. The toasties are fully loaded with meat and the beans with meat, sauce and toppings were addictive. I can't wait to go back again and try the ribs!

Small business, big flavour. A limited menu that is a good example of do what you do well. If you like brisket, the burger will impress you. Loaded fries, vegetarian options, and ribs. And it gets better. Complementing this great food is the VBC bar in the same building. So you can match a beer, cider or wine with your meal.

Absolute legend !Ordered a double cheeseburger and honestly wish it was a triple, this man knows a cheeseburger and this has to be the best in ParaparaumuThe ribs were cooked good sauce was tangy delicious and all the food was super warm after taking it home.Best take out in Paraparaumu hands down.
