What a quick service Lyttelton to Diamond harbour. Dog and family friendly, however our dog hates water travel, ends up a quivering mess. Steep climb at Diamond Harbour end with cafe bar to revive you at the top.

A great place to explore what Diamond Harbour has to offer. Great mountain bike tracks and walking tracks around the cliffs and nearby ridges of an extinct volcano. A cafe and bar if you need refreshments.

Diamond Harbour Ferry
It is very joyful to take the ferry for free to Diamond Harbour and walk along the Cliff Coastal Track. There are lots of sailboats berthing at the dwarf. We also saw some boys training swimming in the sea. At the dwarf there are some locals diving and playing in the sea, with their cute dogs. It is a must go in such nice day.

Great wee ferry ride from Lyttleton to Diamond harbour Aproximately running every half an hour but check sight as it may depend on the day. Fees are relatively cheap. Head from Lyttleton for a day out and bring your bike. Spend the day either biking around the bays or walking around its tracks.

Beautiful place and a bit of history attached. We used blac cat ferry from Littleton. We could c the dolphins too.( we were lucky that day).there are some small restaurant available. You can go around for nice view.
