The review i wanted to post - “was lovely quick dinner before we headed home after a nice day out in hanmer”.In reality - chips werent bad - donut was good and we paid $4.50 each for a crumbed fish the width and twice length of my thumb from a supermarket box.Not i didnt enjoy the 3 mouthfuls of supermarket box fish, it was lovely. But $1.50 a mouthful is a pretty penny to pay. I feel the menu a tad misleading in that way. At least elude to the fact its 1/8 the size of most normal “fish” from shops.Pity.

Ordered a snack box (1 peice of chicken and hot chips) as well as a jam wrap to go. Hot chips were not seasoned and half cold. Jam wrap was also cold and not cooked properly. There were only 3 customers when we ordered so it wasn't even like they were super busy. Prices were expensive.

Pretty decent for the price. Would rate 2.5/5 if we could. Not bad, not great either.Got falafel burger and chips. Generous portion sizes which is nice, quality is sub par but is fine for a comfort food type meal.We enjoyed that they offered a vegetarian option. Service was relatively quick. The basket of fries is very generous, two of us struggled to finish it.

The log cabin Restaurant in Hanmer has a really nice family feel to it, the food was pretty good and fairly priced. Our group of eight went in late after swimming at hot pools and ordered meals which they were happy to do although more and more people were arriving and it was well past closing time. I enjoyed it here i'll definitely be back.

A couple of our friends ate here and got a vegetarian meal with corn chips, beans, and fresh veggies on top. My partner and I decided it looked good so we went there and ordered two to go. When we sat down to eat we opened the boxes and neither of us had any veggies at all… just beans from a can poured over some corn chips. And we paid 15 dollars each for that!?!? We went back and asked why there were no veggies on ours and can we please get some put on? They said they never put veggies on that meal, and I told them we had just seen our friends eating the same thing, but with the veggies. They simply said No you didn't see that" So I said that you're calling me a liar then

Visited last week with my husband. It's a simple setting but warm and friendly. We both had the blue cod, chips and salad - it's so good, enjoyed every mouthful. Thank you!

Cozy atmosphere with the fire. Burger for a takeaway burger was good in a greezy kind of way. The chips were crinkle cut and a bit soggy. All in all, it's good but could be better.

Pretty much just a standard takeaway joint, albeit with a cheery fire. Priced appropriately, though, so if you're looking for a cheap meal, then here's your place. We have a sneaking suspicion that the chips and the fish were both straight from the supermarket frozen aisle, though...

AwesomeHad The Big Breakfast which was cooked to perfectionfriendly staff very clean had to go back for another cooked breakfast beforewe left Hanmer Springs.Also recommended this place to a few people .

I had Blue Cod and chips here, absolutely the best, chips crinkle cut and crisp, Cod really fresh with beautiful crisp batter was perfectly cooked, the best fish and chips ever, served up in baskets and Tartare included with a coffee $17.00 Highly Recommended
