Auntie Briars Grooming and Play days

Unbelievably shocking and rude customer service. Coming from a so called professional Groomer" the service I received was immature

We have been taking our dog to this groomer for years and pre covid she used to stay for longer stints which we were happy with but after the treatment I was given today, she'll never be going back. After ringing up to talk about the untidy groom she received in the weekend, the owner gave me an absolute barrelling saying that it was because our dog was so matted that she had to basically take all her hair off her ears - her ears have been more matted than this before and she's never come back looking like this! The owner was soo rude and basically told me that it was my fault, took no responsibility for the fact she had nipped her ear and made it bleed, one side she'd cut off all her eye lashes, and the other side was left long and it was the most untidy groom we've ever had. But the way I was treated was just disgusting and left me feeling so angry and upset. Then after reading all the reviews, I see I'm not alone. We'll never be going back.

After 8+ years of taking my dog to be groomed at Aunty Briars NEVER again.I rang for the first time today to give feedback on the latest groom - which my had her eyelashes cut off, (we repeatively ask for these not to be touched), face is erratically cut & she has a nick under her arm. To be abused & told my dog was aggressive and the worst behaved dog they have ever had. And then to be hung up on….. after 8 years never to be told this before, I would expect professional, experienced groomers to be able to maintain & cope with dogs of all behaviours. Let’s face it not all dogs like being groomed. There will be no more CASH coming your way. The rudest, fowl mouthed owner out.

This is like a spa day for your beloved Furkid.Nemo absolutely loves it there and is always so excited to see his Aunties.Nemo had been battling cancer and the resulting invasive operations , but this wasn’t an issue .They came to the car to do his nails when he was covered in stitches , and they took such gentle care of him when he had his first groom after the stitches were out and were so gentle on his new skin.Thank you so much for being so kind , empathetic and protective of my little man x it means the world to us like you do to him xoxoxo

Not very professional or that caring about dogs, I would be careful in trusting. I took my puppy here for an hour session to see if she would suit being at daycare. I didn’t get a tour or anything of the place or get asked any questions at all. When I went to collect her there they told me she didn’t suit being at daycare as was too overwhelmed, asking me if I had socialised by puppy. But I feel they could have done more by gradually introducing her to a few dogs and monitoring her. I feel they didn’t have patience to understand her personality which is shy but social. Instead they just put her in the crate, where she was trembling and didn’t bother to call or text me to let me know ( I was out in the road waiting). When taking her out of the crate they also stood on her or hurt her somehow, which shows how careful they are about their dogs.. she also gave me some strange advise to take my timid puppy to the dog park to socialise her, dog parks are full of untrained, not well behaved dogs? I’m not sure that these people really know what they are talking about.

Staff are super friendly, Alfie and Millie love coming for daycare. They had a groom today and Alfie's cut looks super cute.

Absolutely shocking service. Prior to sending my dog here i read the reviews and hoped for the best, however i now understand the shocking reviews. My dog stayed at Auntie Briars for 10 days and came back infested with fleas and was itching constantly and looked very uncomfortable (he had been fleaed prior to dropping him off and had no itching whatsoever). Therefore i texted them in a very respectful manner asking whether other dogs used his bed or blankets with stating that my dog now has fleas. The response i got was absolutely shocking as she begun to speak foul words to me. She said i was a “ungracious piece of work” for simply asking a question in a respectful way. I am incredibly shocked by this service and would NOT recommend this service to anybody who cares about their pups. If she is able to treat humans like this, who knows how she will be treating our dogs while we are away. A horrifying experience and disgusting person. I reccomend sending your dogs to All Seasons Pet Resort, as they treat our dogs with the utmost respect and love - something Aunt Briar cannot do.

The lovely staff here took care of my puppy for a few hours while he got his nails done and a trim around his face. They did an amazing job and have great dog treats for sale they make themselves. Will definitely be coming back or dropping our pup off for a play date/daycare.

Aunty Briar's is great. My mum's dog, Max loves going there and often doesn't want to come home.
