My family and I went here on Saturday night to celebrate my 30th birthday. We were greeted by a waitress rolling her eyes at us for not answering her confirmation call that afternoon. Later, when my husband politely asked for another glass of red, a different waitress rolled her eyes at him. The food was not worth the very high prices - the brisket was dry and the parsnip was still raw. Very disappointing experience.

Beautiful meals and exceptional service. Loved my blue cod dinner special- and seemed everyone else did too as I believe every table after ordered the same. Crème brûlée was silky smooth and had the perfect crunch on top. Empty plates were never on table longer than a few minutes, and the table was checked on the perfect amount. Would recommend to anyone wanting a high quality dining experience.

Took my partner out to dinner for her birthday. We were greeted warmly as we walked in and the service from there on was brilliant. Only overshadowed by the quality of every single item bought to the table. The food was exquisite and masterfully cooked.Idol banter with the friendly staff, we mentioned in passing why we were out for dinner and my partner's desert came out with a birthday candle in it and happy birthday" written on the plate in chocolate."

Very good waitress. The woman behind the counter was a bit abrupt. Food was not hot enough. My lamb was tasty but my wife did not enjoy her pork. Reminded her of canned corn beef. The meals were delivered very quickly which make me suspect they were reheated. However, I might be wrong. Nice environment. Lovely art work.

Nice place to grab a meal when in Hanmer. The staff were very friendly throughout and were happy to have a little chat as opposed to just delivering your food.Speaking of, the food was very tasty with good sized portions. I was full so couldn't finish my meal and the owner checked if I didn't like the meal, but it was just that I had no more room! It was nice to see someone making sure that the meal was up to scratch. I can tell they would take any feedback gladly.We dined during covid-19 level two and they were following the correct protocols to keep everyone safe.

We had a great couple of days at Hamner Springs last month, the highlight of our stay was a meal out at this restaurant, the food was excellent our steaks were cooked to perfection & the sticky date & licorice dessert did not disappoint.The staff were very friendly & really looked after us.I totally recommend it.Barbara Henry

HANNAH!!!My husband and I had the most wonderful evening dining in, the mood was lovely, the food was amazing but most of all the customer service was incredible! Hannah was looking after us, she was lovely to us and made us feel so special! Myself especially! I had ordered a cocktail but didn't quite like it, Hannah noticed without me even saying anything & asked what was wrong with it & took it away and fixed it! I loved the modified version but most of all I was blown away with Hannah and her service. I've never felt so special in a restaurant EVER! I recommend 31 to everyone now & will be returning with my husband many times. Thank you so so much to Hannah & the team!! Keep being amazing <3

Every dish we had was perfectly cooked and the presentation was amazing! My son was happy with his kid’s meal offered by the lady which is not on the menu. Super friendly staff and outstanding service! Highly recommended and will definitely comeback to try the other dishes on the menu.

Don’t know if it’s a good restaurant or not as the receptionist, who finally ran out to “greet” us, yelled at my youngest children and basically asked us to leave. We were hungry after a long day at the hot pools and not dressed up at all. But it did not seem like a very fancy place, rather one of many touristy spots offering overpriced fair while feeding off the hot spa’s draw. Perhaps better for an intimate evening, but I’ll never know as I was rudely denied service. :(

Best restaurant in town. Book as they are very busy. Fresh Oysters yummy entree and lamb falling off the bone. Salad was excellent paired with duck fat potatoes amazing. Staff friendly warm and welcoming.
