We took our 8 year old daughter through the troll cave today, Peter was an excellent guide. He really made the experience awesome. He set the scene with his fantastic back story before going through the cave. Highly recommend as a cool family friendly experience.

Great fun experience for Adults and kids alike, Peter was a legend setting the scene and getting everyone involved. One of our kids got a bit of a fright but persevered through, Peter was understanding and supportive. Well put together the little details count!

Very unique and exciting adventure that is suitable for school aged kids or curious adults. The facility is world-class and well-built for its purpose. The owners are very helpful, kind and friendly and the story teller/ guide gives so much enthusiasm and passion to his craft, that really helps with the Troll cave experience immersion. I definitely recommend this adventure to everyone.Just a friendly advise for the next Troll cave adventurers to wear closed water resistant/ proof shoes (why? you will find out for yourself :-P) and try to just have fun.

My boy (10 year old) and myself felt so welcomed at the reception when we enquired about troll cave.Nick at the reception got us good and scared and excited. He is one of a kind! Peter met us down in the cave, where he set the scene and explained what to expect. He was animated, engaging, super professional, we completely bought into the story because he made it feel so real!It was a wonderful experience, the price is extremely reasonable for the amount of work that goes in. We will be sure to do it again with friends! If you are thinking about doing it, stop thinking immediately and go make a booking! You will love it!

I'm so glad there's a place like this in Waitomo, can't recommend it enough!Our kids (15 and 8 y.o.) both loved it. We had lots of fun in Waitomo, but they said the Troll Cave was the best thing they did. There were so many details already on the way to the cave supporting the story of the troll. People we met there were amazing. And we loved the book we received as a present - a book about The Troll written by the owner himself! How cool is that? Definitely going there again on our next visit to Waitomo.

Good job to Peter who walked us through everything in this mission. So glad we went out alive from the troll's lair (kidding!) It's more like a escape room. It's a team mission so we made some friends and my son enjoyed a lot. The storyline woke up our inner kid and we're more of playing and laughing the whole time. So happy we had this family bonding.

What a great time. Went to waitomo for a four day holiday and we've just come home and asked the kids (7 &9) their favourote part of the whole holiday and it was an immediate TROLL CAVE!!" it was scary but so fun! Reminded me of almost like the Spookers haunted mansion but for the kiddos (although we adults may have jumped once or twice too). We had such a good time and I will be recommending this to everyone I know. I also really appreciate the book
