Tanoshi Five Mile
Such an amazing experience! The ambience is awesome, the staff are lovely and provided amazing service, food was outstanding (we had the “trust the chef” course, and they even accommodated my food preferences). We went on a Saturday night and the place was buzzing with people and good background music, a nice change from the quiet restaurants in frankton. We’ll be back!

Delicious! We came here for staff dinner. There were 17 of us in the group. The Tanoshi staff here were amazing! We decided to go with trust the chef option. They catered to our dietary requests and we were totally looked after. Would totally recommend this place. Thanks so much for a great night!

Please don't go here if you're really hungry. The food was delicious no doubt but the quantity was so meager! I wish they would have given us more for the price we paid. Very overpriced. We enjoyed their service and requested the salmon aburi to be cooked more thoroughly for me. Located next to the Sudima five mile.

Loved the scallops and the okonomiyaki. Sake is a bit pricey but they are really good if you want a good sake. The trust the chef option is highly recommended.

I can be indecisive, especially in a new restaurant, so the chef's choice was perfect! We loved all of the sashimi, dumplings, edamame, scallops, and the list goes on. It paired perfectly with a sake flight. The service was incredible and everyone was very helpful in explaining the dishes. Thank you for a great experience.

Taste great but portion size is tiny and pity, thus, overpriced.Reply to owner: Of course I did. I’m not talking about what your menu says. I’m talking about that your food portions not matching up with the price. I also noticed that you received quite a lot of negative reviews on your serving portion, were you aware? :)

(Edit) So we came back for the ramen a couple days later, and having tried it, I’d say just stick to the Trust the Chef menu at dinner time. The ramen was more a soup noodle than real ramen, noodle was pretty over cooked and had no crunch, broth was decent but very one-colour so you get bored of it pretty quick, and the usual ramen dressings were sadly lacking - eg. menma, nori, negi, tamago. And adding anything else to the meal like gyoza ($18) or the egg ($3.50) felt a little ridiculously overpriced especially compared to what you can easily get in Japan, or most other ramen shops in the world. I would only come back for the ramen if I really needed some hot soup, but that’s it :/###We were craving some hot soup after a cold, wet day out, and were really excited about trying this place when we saw the reviews. Unfortunately ramen is apparently a lunch-only menu item, so we decided to go with the omakase (Trust the Chef) at the recommendation of the staff, and - zero regrets! Everything was amazing, fresh, fried items were super light and crisp (サクサク！), even the misoshiru was fantastic. The staff were all lovey as well, and we had a fantastic time! We’re definitely going to have to come back and try the ramen next time!

Be aware that Lunch menu and dinner menu are different, we prefer lunch menu as we like Ramen. We had ordered tanoshi bento, tantan Ramen, and some other dishes. Recommend bento and Ramen. Very tasty.
