A funky little place. The decor looked like I travelled back in time to the 90’s, but everything looked clean and tidy. The staff was nice and friendly. The food was hearty and tasty. I had their tofu fish noodle and it came out nice and sizzling hot.. I can’t say it’s spectacular but it’s good. I need to go back for their cold noodles, which seem to be popular...

Really enjoyed our meal here. Good prices and decent portions. We got the pork bone rice noodle and the stir fried seafood rice noodle. Both were delicious and came piping hot! There's not much ambience though, and water/tea and cutlery are self service. I'd come back for the food!

Delicious rice noodle soup. I am not an expert on Yunnan cuisine but I found it delicious. Had the fish, soup vege noodle soup. Served fresh and piping hot. Huge portion, enough for two people. Free tea. Delicious, well priced food. Would come again any day.

Came here today and the place was deserted should have got the hint .Ordered a chicken fried rice. It was more a vegetable fried rice, hardly any chicken , no flavor and the portion was half what you get at Hong Kong Cafe GI and the price was 13 dollars which is only a dollar more than the above . WILL NOT RECOMMEND

Delicious great value restaurant. It doesn't have very good street frontage, but the food is great when it touches your lips. They do fantastic big bowls of noodles - recommend braised beef or pork intestine. The side dishes are very tasty fresh and healthy, and they have some of the best spicy skewers in New Zealand.

It's a crazy entrance to Yunnan Kitchen, but definitely worth finding if you want a good value Yunnan Province style dish (particularly soups, or fried noodles).It's rapidly becoming a regular.But it's not a 5 star restaurant - for meals costing between $10 to $14, how could it be?
