Waitangi Treaty Grounds
We last came over 10+ years ago and found so much has changed since. There is a entrance fee for Adults, but children are free. Show your NZ Driver's License to pay the NZ Resident price. The cultural show is totally worth it and we learnt a lot about the Maori culture. Lots of places to explore and the kids enjoyed answering the questions related to each place of interest

Waitangi Treaty Grounds
It cost $30 each to go into the Treaty grounds, extremely reasonable as you got a cultural experience as well as lots of interesting museum exhibitions regarding history, the Maori Battilion, the Treaty House, the waka and you can have a bite to eat and drink at the cafe on site if you wish (you pay for that) Also you can keep your ticket and go back over the next day or so if you want to, excellent place to go, beautiful grounds and walkways.

Waitangi Treaty Grounds
We did a tour of the grounds with a guide. Included was a concert in the Treaty House and a 3 course meal in the restaurant which was cooked Hangi style and was absolutely delicious.Our guide told us the story of the War Canoe, the significance of the Treaty and the Flagpole.Spent about 4 hours here and worth every bit of it

Amazingly beautiful! Both the venue and the culture. Staff are wonderfull and so knowledgeable! would highly recommend the guided tour!! The Maori experience was breath taking would highly recommend! You get an opportunity to take photos and ask questions at the end of the performance which was lovely !

A must do for everyone. We took the 50 min conducted tour at no extra cost. Brilliant commentary... filled in many gaps in my knowledge of our country's history. We also took in the cultural experience... brilliant too.

Waitangi Treaty Grounds
We were on Matariki day. We were lucky to have several performances in the marae. The rite of enlightenment that was performed for all the spectators was very spectacular and colourful. It was our second time at the museum and we loved the diversity, beautiful views and historical value of the place. A must-see place to visit with children.

Waitangi Treaty Grounds
What a great day. We booked a guided tour and learnt a lot about the history of the Waitangi Treaty and the part the Maoris played in the war. The cultural experience in the meeting house was well worthwhile too. Hubby and I were really pleased we went.

Waitangi Treaty Grounds
This tour was engaging and informative and our guide had a great sense of humor. In addition to the guided tour and show, give yourself time to explore the museum and walk around the beautiful grounds.
