Moeraki Boulders Beach
Cool place to stop if you’re passing by ! It would be a great spot to watch the sunrise. There is a cute gift shop and cafe if you turn left or if you turn right you can go to the public parking lot and walk down the beach to the boulders without going on the cafe’s private walk way. The beach around there is nice if you want to spend some extra time there.

Not a bad place to stop while driving past. It’s better to park at the cafe as it’s closer and has a toilet available if you buy something. Your GPS might take you to the beach parking but you’ll see a large sign for the cafe, that’s a better place to park. The rocks are quite interesting

The beach itself is beautiful and the boulders make it even better. We parked at the public parking and walked in. The tide was coming in when we arrived and it can make some boulders inaccessible. However, the majority are more inland so don't worry too much. Definitely worth a stop!

Moeraki Boulders Beach
The most extraordinary beach with large spherical boulders along the beach!Moeraki Boulders Beach is a must-visit and there is ample parking space for visitors. The beach is just walking distance down the stairs from the car park and there is a restaurant near the entrance of the beach. This beach is a perfect place for a photo shoot and it was interesting to see the different sizes of boulders lying around the beach. A beautiful place in New Zealand!

Ā very special and spiritual place. Sad to see tourists clamouring over the rocks for photo taking. There was nothing to encourage respecting the significance for Maori. The walk to the boulders requires some degree of sure footedness and fitness.

Umm, look, yes they are cool unnaturally perfect round shaped rocks on a very nice large sandy beach......but there are only about 10 of them and they were not very large (smaller than your home washing machine) and mostly covered by sand. Thank goodness it is free and a nice gift shop with free toilets. Would I go more than 15 minutes out of my way to see them? Absolutely not. But if driving by, they make a fun curio to add to a restroom break you were planning to make anyhow.

A very long time since last visit, but well worth the wait. Photographer's/rock lover's paradise. A must do.

The boulders looked more like regular rocks and we would have not have noticed them if it was not hyped up. That said, managed to see one of the untouched fully round boulders still in a cliff and only then did we appreciate it for what it was. Parking is free if you park at the public park(a slightly longer walk) as opposed to the cafe where there is fee charged as it is privately owned.

Fun place to visit - large spherical boulders too see, and on a nice sandy beach. There are usually quite a few people there, but it's easy enough to get a picture or two. It's only a very short walk down to the boulders from the cafe, or about a 20 minute walk along the beach from Moeraki Reserve at the north end of Moeraki township.
