Po Karaoke Bar

Lets start upon arrival.There is quite a climb upstairs, be prepared to for a little leg workout. Think of it as a nice warm up before the lungs release the sound of music.You see the bar / front desk as you reach the summit. You're greeted with smiles and hellos, cute little K Pop hand waves from the lovely ladies behind the counter. The service is wonderful.They've got big rooms and small. During our session they would replenish our water jugs.At the end we went over time by 30 mins, the manager even joined in!Such lovely people, and prices were decent.There's one thing.. the software they use for music is quite difficult to navigate and will take time getting used to. You think they don't have all the songs but they do, the search technique is different than what you'd usually do at home on the computer.Instead of typing out the whole name of the song. You instead need to type out the initials like for Michael Jackson you type MJ".Took a while to figure that out but I hope this helps! Enjoy!My go to Karaoke bar."

The food was good. However, my overall experience here was bad.First and foremost, the staff were unfriendly and rude. I'm not sure if the call button in the room wasn't working or the staff just bluntly ignore them. So we had to go to the front desk everytime we want to make an order.Other than that, the sound system here was terrible. We asked the staff a few times to adjust the echo which we had no control to. But the first staff told me they can't do it. Then after asking a few more times, they reluctantly adjust it for us. After adjusting the echo, it was still bad.I wouldn't recommend anyone who loves singing karaoke to come here. I wouldn't recommend anyone who want to have fun to come here neither.

Not very happy with my time there. When trying to book a room I emailed them and heard no response whatsoever. When I got there on the night the staff were really unfriendly and unhelpful. I told them that we had two more people coming from our group and asked if they could send them through. When the others showed up the staff wouldn't let them in and just kept saying no to them.The room was freezing when we went in so we asked if they could turn the temperature up. They said they couldn't do it but turned it off instead which was fine. About halfway through our booking one of them snuck their hand in and turned our air con back on to freezing...The drinks tasted gross and they gave us no warning that our time was nearly up. We went out to use more of our tab cause we thought we still had time left and they refused to let us use our tab or serve us and we couldn't get our money back. Wouldn't come back here...

Absolutely terrible service. Lady at the counter was sooo rude and the toilets were absolutely disgusting with no soap stuff all in and on the bowl and looked like no one had washed it in over a month. I booked online for a small room and the same rude lady at the counter tried to say I had booked for a medium and I was wrong. I then found the email and showed her as I wasn't going to pay more when it was only 4 of us and then she told me the booking system was wrong and they didn't even have a room 9. In the end she agreed to charge me for the small room which I guess she could do". I'm sorry but if you don't like your job leave it as this was extremely rude and we were nothing but nice. Also wasn't cheap. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!"

Quick: what would bring this from 3 to 4 or 5 rating? A MUCH more usable digital interface to search for artists (bc seriously half to impossible) as well as just an ever-so-slightly louder volume so we can hear the music when singing. We actually REALLY missed the paper binders of songs after fighting with the selection machine for over an hour to build a playlist ... in the end we realised you could only reasonably search by song titles and even then if there's a song in English you're looking for, you might need to select the song with the artist name written on Chinese to hopefully get the song you're after. Very limited English song selection outside of those you'll find in the top 50 karaoke song playlists, and this is based on our group's experience at other karaoke bars nearby. Otherwise though, Po was much more modern and 'classy' in comparison from the bar to the rooms and furniture, but if you can't easily find songs, nothing else matters. They may still have some Groupon deals going on which are a Must Do if you're keen to come try it out, especially when grocery $10 bottle of wine is $48. They're also extremely prompt on kicking you out at your time limit, even mid song, which seemed a bit harsh when there was nobody queued up in the lobby ...

Group of friends came down here because there was a voucher special. The place isn't hard to find even though there are road works just outside. The facilities are quite nice. Clean room and fairly soundproof. There was a console at one end where you could pick the songs and arrange the order. There was a decent selection of song in multiple languages. I was surprised at the selection of English Rock songs they had.Had some snacks and they were ok. Not sure if you could order from the room but we ended up just heading out to grab food and drinks.It was quite a nice place for karaoke.

The place is so run down, VIP1 toilet doesn't have a lock, the other rbathrooms are dirty, taps broken, papertowel dispenser broken, toilet seat in one of the toilets was broken. The VIP1 room was sticky, the chairs had rips and tears, it smelt of musky old alcohol. Staff were trying their best to keep up with the drinks orders but service was lacking. One positive was the drinks weren't that badly priced . Needs a revamp asap, won't be going back there.

I rarely write a bad review for business.1. Extremely bad service.(My family is celebrating my birthday here for me, the sound system woofers is as strong as we can't even listen to music, not even singing. I went to KTV quiet often, its really too much and can't stand it. When I requested the staff to tune down the woofer for me, he said this is how it was with an annoying attitude. Come on, if it's still acceptable I won't be keep on asking u to check. And I requested to change room, he told us all the sound system is not working in all other room.)2. Extremely bad attitude.This staff here name Barry who is a bit fat, I don't really know how to describe him, never seen a staff with such a bad attitude before.3. Extremely super unhygienic.When we are about to cut my cake and ask for a knife,he given us a rusty knife and said that this is what they had been using, at that moment is the Auckland council check them?really freak me out,how can they use that ?

Visited for the first time last night. Booking was easy done over the phone. Bouncer at the door didn't even pretend to check our IDs which is clearly unsafe. On arrival staff at the desk just looked at you, you as the customer had to greet them first?? Unwelcome vibe. Girl who took our payment seemed like she hated her life and job, no facial expression and was not 1% friendly.Payment promptly taken of course and we were led into the room. Was quickly shown how it worked. Room was cold, mics given were bad quality and no way to adjust the mic volume. Went out to the counter to order food, they did not inform us that you could ring for someone to come and take the order?? Food came out fast and quality/quantity was acceptable.We were respectful so left the room on time. The same unhappy girl at the counter snatched our parking card and scanned it to waive our parking fee - little to my surprise when we got to the gates the fee was still there. It was already late so we couldn't be bothered going back there. Staff attitude and service is appalling below average. No thank you or acknowledgement from staff. The car park ticket issue has concluded my rating. Unsure if I would go back there and would not recommend to anyone.

Went to this place last night. Place was good but songs are not updated. Staffs were friendly but drinks not so great… The cocktails we ordered tasted like lemon juice and water…You also have to pay for utensils like plates and forks…
