Great experience with Scott and his team. Used them for servicing and additional repairs now. Scott gave me a breakdown of the things I need to keep in mind in the near future. When I booked it in to get that work done, they diagnosed a misfire issue and gave me a call with what to expect. He then didn't push all the work on me, instead asking if I would rather hold back on some of the less urgent work due to the new problem that had come up. Very happy with the service they have given and will continue to use them moving forward.

Scott and his team are amazing. Scott always cheerfully takes the time to answer my many questions, and they consistently do great (& quick) work on my 25 year old car for a reasonable price. Always friendly, honest, and trustworthy, I couldn't ask for a better car mechanic shop. I am so thankful they were recommended to me, and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone needing to service their car!

Scott and his team are at Thorndon Quay are amazing. I've been servicing both of my cars there for 2 years now and they have never skipped a beat. They are quick to book in and turnaround aswel as diagnose the hard stuff, all at a reasonable price. Always friendly, honest, and trustworthy. I have used Thorndon Motor Doctors for the last ten years. During that time they’ve serviced three very different cars of very different makes and age. Without fail they have provided me with clear advice; timely and excellent service; advanced notice of anything unexpected that they’ve uncovered; and been reasonably priced. All staff have been pleasant to deal with I would (and do) highly recommend them.

These guys go out of their way to help. Took my daughter for her driving test down the road at VTNZ, luckily we were 15 minutes early as unbeknown to me one of the brake lights was out. The tester said if you're not back in time with a working light it's an automatic fail. Drove to the nearest mechanic we could find which just happened to be Motor Doctors. They were all busy on jobs but when we explained our predicament one of them come out onto the street, dismantled the rear brake light unit and popped in a new bulb, all within 10 minutes. Got back to VTNZ just in time. That's what I call service, thanks Motor Doctors!

I've had these guys service my van twice now. They've got great attention to detail, are clear communicators, and very prompt with their work. Ordering parts and having it completed within a day.I used to go to Midas, near the basin reserve, and I can't believe all the work that needed doing that had been previously overlooked by Midas! Everything is transparent with what has been done or was fixed on the van and I couldn't recommend a better place to look after your vehicle. Keep up the top notch service MD!

I had an issue with my car that other companies were only keen to provide expensive quotes for new replacement parts.I arrived at motor doctors to meet Scott, who diagnosed the problem and managed to actually fix it without replacing the part.This had always impressed me and I have used them ever since.From my Caterham to our family car they always get the job done.
