Gross toilets but other than that I loved this campsite! Quiet when we visited. Lovely stream with a swimming hole for washing further upstream than the campsite. We saw so much rare wildlife here!Be aware no drinking water

A beautiful, well maintained campground with excellent basic toilet facilities. Nestled in the perfect sheltered natural location, right next to a rocky river, with the perfect swimming hole a short walk upstream. Truly beautiful.

Our first time camping as a family of 6 and we loved it. Great area for kids, lots of area for them to run around and bike within visibility of anywhere in the campsite. The river and swimming hole were a highlight! Has flushing toilet and running water. There are fire pits for communal use. Beautiful scenery. Rabbits and wallaby to see at dawn. We even meet some lovely locals who gave us veggies from their garden! Recommend taking river shoes.

Absolutely beautiful campsite, incredibly well maintained, grass mown, toilet paper in the loos. Great spot right next to the river, there is a track near the campsite you can follow for 10 or so minutes to a river crossing. We woke up to amazing bird song and surprisingly were the only ones there when we camped. The sign did note can be prone to flooding so probably not an ideal wet weather spot. We considered it exceptionally flash with flushing toilets. Water available onsite but must be boiled first, also two concrete fire pits that can be used.

Very private, about 30 min away from nearest town on gravel roads. No cellphone reception so great place to destress and leave worries behind. Campsite is only $8 but there is a flush toilet. Nice river nearby for swimming.

If you are seeking for quiet and hidden DOC camping ground, choose this one. There is swimming hole for swim. Don't be surprised if in midnight you will be woken up with gun shots and farmers/ hunters going to kill few wallabies.
