Michael Hill Queenstown

We ordered a Wedding ring for my husband for our Vow Renewal (40 years marriage) It was his first ring as he couldn't wear one when we got married so this was very special. We were told it would take 6 weeks max to come back, probably earlier which allowed 2 weeks before it was required. I rang the shop when the 6 weeks was up only to be told the ring wasn't going to arrive until 3 days before needed! Oh, but they made a backup ring that was terrible but the staff thought that was okay. Then on that day, I was told it was stuck in Auckland. It arrived finally 2 days out. But, the staff weren't prepared to do anything to get the ring to us in Wanaka. We had to organise our own courier, at our own expense. We took back the backup ring and asked for reimbursement of the courier charge and they refused even though this was all their shambles. They just brushed off that it was a very special occasion and didn't care. Avoid dealing with Lara and her team at Michael Hill Queenstown. They might come across as great salespeople but they are just clipping the ticket. No compassion, honesty or remorse. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!As suspected, absolutely nothing from Michael Hill nearly 3 weeks later. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!.

Staff very obliging and knowledgeable.Although we didn't purchase any items on this visit they offered to clean my wife's jewelry and did a great job.Many thanks

We were having a browse in the shop today when a store assistant asked whether my partner and I were looking for Christmas presents. Before giving us any time to respond, she then proceeded to say “we have some $15 earrings”. I’m not sure whether the staff had been instructed to verbally advertise their extremely cheap earrings, but we were quite put off looking in the store any further as the comment came across as being quite judgemental.

The customer service was very good. All staff there were friendly and very nice. The new girl staff who was helping me to find a necklace and an earrings was awesome and useful.

Incredible customer service from all staff members who also provided our 5-year old with lots of attention. Some very unique jewellery pieces exclusive to this store!

Terrible!!! My necklace broke again after they fix it and they asked for more money to repair it for the 2nd time.Should I pay extra for an insurance to compensate their cheap quality? Hell no!Don't buy from this store.

I went to the store to get my husband wedding ring but I lost the invoice stating I have the life insurance. They helped me recover that and get the ring fixed. It was so helpful. I'll be definitely back. Thank you so much

Bought a ring in January of 2019 from the Queenstown store with what they would call a diamond policy which states for life! but this is really a show of poor quality jewellery as one of the diamonds fell from the ring after 1 year! Michael hill customer service refused to help! Told me to speak to the store manager which didn't even reply! VERY POOR QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
