Auckland Bowling Club

First time visiting, which was to pick up hubby from a work social event being held. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his time playing bowls, he is highly competitive.

We do feel quite misled through the booking process for our work do and wanted to make it really clear to anyone considering it for a corporate hire- unless you are booking for over 80 people exclusive use of the space is likely not what you are booking.We were only told the week of our booking that we would be sharing the space with two other companies. This was not what we were after and we made this clear in previous correspondence. I feel like we were only told once it was too late to back out. We have people with reduced immunity in our team and a couple of pregnant mothers, so not having a private space to offer would have been a dealbreaker. We also planned on doing a faux prize-giving, but are unsure how successful this will be in a shared space.Bowls is a great option for a work do, but this experience has left a very sour taste.

Great location, better than any other bowling club I’ve been to before. Bar staff were so friendly and Nenad was great to deal with. Would recommend this venue to anyone!

Great fun social occassion, brings out the competitive side even from us non-bowlers - we enjoyed the throw downs. Especially taking the win and kissing Jack in the decider a few times.

The Auckland Bowling Club is a fantastic club and they host a really good business house bowls tournament on Wednesday evenings.The club rooms are first rate with a well stocked bar and friendly staff. The greenkeeper keeps the greens in top condition.They are a friendly bunch of guys dedicated to introducing bowls to a wider audience. It's a very popular venue for team building events with many corporates utilising the facilities.
